Guest guest
Jan, Those clients would also do well with omega-3 supplemented eggs. Chickens some how turn flax into DHA. I use the Eggland's brand for things like breakfast burritos and baking, especially with kids who are not prone to loving fish. I recommend 200-300 mg/day. I see this as helpful for clients that are highly seafood/fish sensitive as well. Thanks. Guest guest
I need to ask this before I charge off to purchase fish oils. From other posts I gathered and assumed that fishoils are collected and manufactured from scaly vertebrates fishes. I have a deadly allergy to all crustaceans. Is there a chance fishoils could contain any of these? How do I test it and id it? If I touch a raw, live or cooked shrimp, I break out in hives within a few minutes and go into anaphylactic shock within 10 - 20 minutes. If I walk into an area where seafood is being prepared, even oven ready seafood croquettes, I break out and have breathing difficulties, depending on exposure time. How do I determine if fishoils (which I was ready to get tomorrow) are safe? Thank you for you rhelp and information. Guest guest
Digna, My recommendation would be to contact the manufacturers. All the bottles I have seen have a phone number (usually 800) on the bottle, and everyone I contacted was timely in their response. I have yet to see crustaceans listed as an ingredient, but this question is best asked of the individual manufacturers. Guest guest
Thank you again Monika. I'm certain that from the little bit I've learned this past week on the subject, you're correct, but, better safe than sorry. I'll do that before purchasing.
