It's an interesting name.....I like it. A Yeti is a (some would say mythical) human-like critter who lives in the snowfields of Eupoe and Canada. It's " common name " is the Abominable Snowman, but in Mummy Dearest's case, it is the Abominable Snowmum. Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com Quote
Guest guest Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Hi , .....Sort of like that children's book about the " Ice Queen. " I remember that book....hmmm....I wonder if the book is metaphorically about being raised by a nada. -Lula > > I forget where the word " Yeti " comes from....is that one of the > > characters in Star Wars? Did he forget this? > Hi Jewelry, My Yeti has tried to get ME fired from jobs. I used to work with children; apparently she rang up the school and told them what a horrible beast I am, God she wouldn't like to be a child around me, I had been investigated by Child Protection - apparently I was an unfit 6-year-old, etc etc etc... (This was just after I had been Officially Disowned; she was trying to get me to rage at her so she could say I was the BP) It is true that I have been interviewed by the child protection services. They were trying to be certain whether I should be completely removed from her. A teacher of mine had noticed bruises. I must have put them there myself. All 6 year olds do that, don't they. (This might sound a but familiar to KOs:) Just one of her " cognitive novelties " is how everyone else has abused her. She's a *GIFTED* woman at shattering reality and turning it on it's head, then making it appear ever-so-believable. She used to punch me so hard she would bruise *HERSELF*. I saw the schools counsellor and told them some of the things that went on during my childhood. I wrote on a piece of paper the single word " Borderline " . (I gave her Dad's phone number if she needed verification) she was like OMG OMG OMG Ahhh now the pieces fit together... Even so, that job did not last all that long after that. And she wonders why I want nothing whatsoever to do with her... Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com Quote
Guest guest Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 > She has had a problem w/ every boyfriend, friend, coworker of > mine...so I guess the short answer to your question is yes. I'm sensing colossal enmeshment here. I'll bet she fears, at some level, that they are going to 'steal' you away from her. It's other people who steal people away from her, isn't it. Couldn't have anything to do with her... The fact she tortures them for years, of course, hasn't entered her mind. Nope, not her. If she pushes you away, she doesn't have to see you *choose* to be with her (or not). ________________________ Ah, yes, there was the time he bought her alcohol for her birthday and being an alcoholic (which I never told him) she felt he was slighting her. ____________________________ Right, I'd say she will never forget that. He had been split black because he was a threat before he committed the mortal sin of being sane (I'm assuming he is). As for your father and brother, I think there might be hope. However, you don't really have much control over the situation at the moment. I'd just let things play out for a while. Guest guest Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 > So how do you get past all this? > > OK, you are feeling empty. *N*O*R*M*A*L*. You will for a while no matter what. When I both left, and let the cat out of the bag, I was petrified but I was sick to death of her bullshitting to her new family, blaming me for bullying/tricking her into breaking my leg (no you read right) while watching them swallow every single bit of it and more, and look at me like i was some sort of monster. According to her, what she did to me was what *her mother* did to *her*, or so she has told them. so I'd be talking to them, and they'd be anti-me because I dont WORSHIP Yeti, I'm ever so ungrateful, how they felt sorry for her, Nan did XYZ to her and Id be like " Huh? WTF? Huh? What? " TALK ABOUT BEING INVASIVE HUMILIATING AND INVALIDATING ALL AT ONCE. Has anyone else had the " subject transfer? " Can I have her charged with - like - identity theft? And why do I sit there and take it? Because Ive learned that this is the way to a) stay in one piece, and avoid her dragging me through her psychopathic ultra-hell. Even though she has no power over me, or at least it was MINIMAL since I could leave at any time, I was, for years, still like the 3 year old *petrifed* that she might kill me, the rabbit, Dad, 2 brothers, or do God knows what insanity. BPs have you constantly terrifed of them. And you dont begin to notice it when it starts but your abdomen (and arse) gradually gets so tight that it's pretty well all you can feel. One day in my bathroom, I noticed something so startlingly glaringly obvious I damned near fainted. I was a) 30, was bigger than her, and c) she wasn't there. And I thought (something along the lines of) " Bugger me, sod you Yeti!!! " Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com Quote
