Thanks for your kind words. It does make me feel better knowing that Caitlyn

has sailed through most of her surgeries. Like you said it will probably

worry me more than him! I will ask if he can watch his Noddy or Teletubbie

videos and I'm sure they will oblige. Yorkhill is a childrens hospital only

so they are very much geared up to looking after kids.

They gave him a sedative the other night to pass the catheter and I told them

that the last time he had a sedative it took over 2 hours to work and he only

slept for a couple of hours but they insisted that it would work within an

hour and that he would be out for around 12 hours. They put the catheter in

an hour later when he was still wide awake! It took 2 1/2 hours for the

sedative to work and he only slept for a few hours again. Needless to say

they now know and will adjust things accordingly!!
