Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 With taking temps three times a day, I always like to check BP & pulse once a week. If you have problems with high blood pressure like I do, maybe more often to monitor it. High blood pressure can be a sign of too much HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Quote

Hi again Val This situation above could be why my blood pressure has gone from high normal to high in recent times. It would coincide with my increased intake of Pred. for three months. I am at present on 5 mg Pred and 10 mg h/c per day. I have just made that one eight raise in Armour as you suggested this morning. Is this a bad time to decrease the h/c from 10 mg to 5 mg? If yes, when would be a good time as I want to get off the Pred. soon if I can. Thanks. Mo Quote

Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Some articles I read on adrenals recommend a digital one. Personally, I find the digital ones much much easier to deal with, the mercury ones can be so hard to read. You also don't have to keep it in your mouth as long. ElyseIs there a type of thermometer you recommend? Quote
Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 For accuracy, you need to put the digital in your mouth and leave it there for five full minutes, then turn it on. Even then, mercury or non-mercury glass thermometers are more accurate for anything but a fever. I prefer to do under arm--you have to leave it there for 10 minutes, but don't need to worry about what goes in your mouth for the previous 1/2 hour. Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Give your new thyroid dose a week or 10 days first, then try it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Quote
Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 I have a digital one but the temp seems to be inconsistent even when I take temp 5 mins apart. I hate trying to read the mercury ones too.
