Guest guest
I usually have no idea when someone is hitting on me, and sometimes think people are when they aren't. Whenever I actually guess right I feel like I won a prize or something. Actually deciphering paralanguage makes me feel quite accomplished. <G> Of course, " a stopped clock is right twice a day " . -tora-b

Do any of you people get > hit on a lot because of your looks? Depends on what you mean by " a lot. " I do get rather more interest than I can understand -- which is sometimes kinda nice. <grin> I do get rather annoyed with the gay guys who come onto me, assuming I'm gay because (I suppose) of some of my Aspie characteristics. The other night at Kareoke, I had to have a little chat about that stuff with a fellow who'd apparently gotten the wrong impression. " I don't handle crowds well, " I said, " and I'm feeling crowded right now. So back the f### off. " Really quite effective when done in an appropriate undertone, more of a growl, really. <evil grin> Shame it hadda be done, though. I do get some interest from females, too. I pretty sure I'm not bad looking. When I was in my twenties, there was a lady I had a tremendous crush on, which of course I was utterly incompetent to make work. She told me that she'd never go out with me, because I was " too pretty. " Oh, and I was " just not cuddly. " Me, not cuddly? Can't think why... <grin> I think women find me attractive, as long as they don't get to know me too well. -- " Maybe this is As Good As It Gets?
