Guest guest
I haven't read it yet, but it caught my attention immediately. Can't wait to read it. Thanks for sharing. I had hoped that my personal story would indeed make an impact on other people and I thank all of you who have written to me. I received one e-mail this morning from a dietitian who suggested that we start a " support group " . I have started a yahoo group and any dietitian who is overweight and would like to join please go to _ http://groups. <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fatdietitian_> yahoo.com/group/fatdietitian_ ( http://groups. <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fatdietitian> yahoo.com/group/fatdietitian) to join. Please, let's keep the group to just those of us in the profession who are overweight. Please do not publicize this to any of your clients. It's just for us. If you belong to a list serve that does not appear in the heading, you may forward this to the DPG list serve. But again, let's just keep this for dietitians. The e-mail address will be _fatdietitian@ <mailto:_fatdietitian%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com_ (mailto: fatdietitian@ <mailto:fatdietitian%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com) Perhaps we can help each other by working together and in the end be more effective with our patients/clients. Thanks for your support, Sharon Salomon, MS, RD The Fat Dietitian
Guest guest
One problem is that a dietitian can be of normal weight, wear size 8 or 10, and still be considered fat by clients who wear size one or want to wear size one. So what is fat? I haven't read the article. Even size 6 can be considered too large by some clients. Collier wrote: I haven't read it yet, but it caught my attention immediately.
