Guest guest
In response to one of my post where I said I was thinking of both Valerian root and/or St. 's Wort you gave an emphatic no, no, no. I was wondering why? I understand why not for the St. john's Wort as it act like the SSRI's. But, why not Valerian Root? I was thinking of taking it for two reasons: 1. To help calm me down 2. My doctor actually suggested it because I have been having horrible, horrible muscle pain. So, bad I cry and can barely move. She said sometimes patients with fibromaylasia find relief by taking it. (Not that she has diagnosed me with fibromaylasia - we don't know exactly what I have wrong with me yet. We only know that I have tested positive on the antinuclear body test, as well as have repeately tested postive on the monospot test.) I really, really need relief from the muscle pains - how harmful would the Valerian be? Also, I drink chamomille tea - is that ok? It doesn't seem to be a problem. Lastly, just so you know I take between 1000 and 1500mg of calcium a day. ( I haven't had a period in six months and they are worried about osteoporosis) It is a combo with Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin D and one of them also has some phosphorus in it. Plus, I take 25 - 50mg of Iron. And I just added some Flax Seed Oil to my diet for the Omega's. Thank you. nyia
