Guest guest
Hi Chelle! You're a girl after my own heart! I know that, being only 5'2, my clothes would fit better and I'd look, well, taller if I wore heels. I'd love to have that sleek, long-legged look! So I've gone on more than one shopping expedition to buy higher heels, but I've come home empty-handed all but once. Why? Because I have height issues! Seriously, it's not about being taller (I'd enjoy that!); it's just that I live in constant fear of toppling over -- likely, in a very public place. Do any of those styles come with training wheels? LOL. Carol Falon had some Naturalizer boots on with a wider heeler. Now, maybe a style like that would help balance me until I learn how to walk, perhaps even gracefully, in heels. <covering my husband's ears with my hands>I'm going to have to check that out! Wouldn't it be great if there were classes to teach us all the fashion-related things we missed out on while we were overweight? Absent that, a shopping trip with Robyn and Carol is a great start! Sorry I don't have an answer to your question. But I certainly sympathize with you! Melody
Guest guest
LOL Chelle! I hope Melody read your post. We had exactly the same conversation yesterday at the " Maul " . We decided that she needed " training wheels " for her heels. My advice - start with lower heels, no more than 2 " and work your way up! Make sure they fit well and are securely held on to you feet with a T-strap or similar. Wear them round the house for an hour each day. You'll soon be strutting your stuff around town like a model! Carol Learning to Walk in High Heels Again Okay ladies...... I don't know about everyone else, but the larger I was, I couldnt wear high heels just because it was too darn painful. Yesterday I went shopping with my daugther and absolutely fell in love with a pair of high heeled shoes. Put them on, they looked great I was excited because I'm down a shoe size......then I walked and I was a little wobly, like it was my first pair of them!! I wore them all the time when I was younger and slimmer......but man I felt like I was gonna fall over!! LOL So did anyone else have this problem when they started wearing them again? Guest guest
Hi Chelle, Melody and Carol! Here is the link to me in my new pink boots that I wore to lunch and shopping with Melody and Carol yesterday. http://tinyurl.com/4fj5m One of the biggest thrills of weight loss is my ability to wear heels again. The higher the better! Boots are my latest favorite purchase. Wear you rheels around the house and practuce walking in them! You look 5 pounds thinner for every inch of extra height! That is a big motivator! Can we say 3 inch heels!!! LOL! Robyn > LOL Chelle! I hope Melody read your post. We had exactly the same > conversation yesterday at the " Maul " . Guest guest
LOL...that's ALL I wore last summer. High heeled sandals of some sort, preferably open toe! I can't find any boots I like yet. I have some from last yr that are a short heel and a bit too big (I have big calves STILL) but I have high heel work shoes! That was the one thing I was glad of!!! > > > Amen! I am more than halfway to goal and started wearing my ankle boots with high heels again. Not only do they fit again, but they zip up comfortably. > > I feel so sexy in these LOL! > > Hugs, > > >
