Guest guest
Chelle, OMGosh, I can't believe those idiots let you go on 14 months and not realize it was the med causing it. What jerks! <rolls eyes> I just don't understand them sometimes. I think every doc should have investigative skills and have a Type A personality. lol Not much of anything would fall through the cracks then. I think they get too over loaded too. Take on too many patients. That would be hard to balance, I can imagine. When they don't all come all the time, they have to have a steady income. Docs just aren't perfect enough for me. No one is perfect, I understand, but they sure leave a lot of room for improvement. I'm glad they finally figured that out for you. 14 months too late, but at least no permanent damage was done except having your gallbladder removed. I hope you get adjusted to the Zyprexa soon. I can't imagine waking up like a zombie every morning. That would stink! My sister is doing well on the Lithium. She's been on it for about 6-9 months now and it does wonders for her. She hasn't complained about it at all. Have a nice day! Tommie Re: Psychiatrist Visit Tommie, If your sister starts having stomach trouble, make sure you tell her to tell the doctor to switch her off lithium to something else. I was on the couch sick as a dog for 14 months before I figured out it was the lithium causing it, and then the psychiatrist tells me after I go off of it " oh, yeah. I don't usually prescribe lithium anymore because of the stomach problems. " **!!!????** & *( & (^ & (^*())*!!!!! Freakin' doctors!!!! They knew I was on the drug from the time I started complaining about my stomach and let me be sick for 14 freakin' months!!!! I also ended up having my gall bladder out while they were trying to figure out what was wrong and had an endoscopy. I could just strangle those doctors for not looking harder at my meds!!!! The psychiatrist kept prescribing it every month, knowing I was too sick to move and knowing it caused stomach problems. ARRGGHH!!!! Anyway......phew! I'm still so mad about all those months I lost to being sick and how awful I felt! The zyprexa is making me a zombie - I didn't wake up until 10:00 this morning and couldn't seem to get through the fog for about an hour. That was 11 hours of sleep! I'm going to try not taking the ambien tonight with the zyprexa and see if I go to sleep okay and wake up okay in the morning. How is your sister doing now?
