Guest guest
Dear Mo, You said: <<Just read your post to Sally and i wonder if I might ask you to help me to clarify my thinking on metabolites. We posted about this a few weeks ago if you remember when I had a reaction from exercising? You said that the metabolites were responsible when they were released by exercise from stored body fat. You mention to Sally that they are gone in 5 weeks and so anti-oxidants are unnecessary. Is that five weeks from the last dose?>> ** Yes, from the last dose. You could speculate a few more weeks on the outside. The only antidepressant I know that has metabolites that remain indefinitely is Wellbutrin (2 of the metabolites). This is not common knowledge. It is from some unpublished research. Regards,
Guest guest
Thank you for this answer. Some of us who are one year and sometimes years off any SSRI and or co-administered medication seem still to suffer effects that feel to us like " mini withdrawal symptoms " when heavy exercising and 'PRAPS even more noticeable at times of severe stress. Such effects seldom last for more than a few days at a time In particular; at times of stress I am prone to get those darn " trip like dreams " when sleeping ( dreams are in vivid colour and have the capacity to scare) .......sometimes the dreams continue for a while into the weakening hours...............however at other times the dreams are normal and sleep patterns normal and refreshing Again at such high stress times I'm prone to return to those god awfull head zaps as well as the odd leg arm zap or tic' What could be happing here - Am I not yet clear of parts of the co-administered drugs like mood stabilizers Lithium and or anti-convulsant Neurontin? Has years of taking the combo led to changes in my body? For others, who cold turkeyed quite some time ago; ........has the trauma led to greater problems? At other settled / non stressed times I feel very much better taking my combo of fish oils magnesium etc etc than I ever remember feeling whilst " under the doctor " ...........even the DR admits I look much weller than he can remember me. In short some of us 'arnt out of the woods yet ........years after the last psyc med slipped down our throats Why PS Great to see you back on line Cath Regards > Dear Mo, > > > You said: > > > <<Just read your post to Sally and i wonder if I might ask you to help me to > clarify my thinking on metabolites. Guest guest
I wonder if it is wellbutrin that the Dr is referring to and that she says noni can help - but that the charity have taken it to mean all SSRI's / AD's? Guest guest
i never experienced, this problem with the exercise or Stress. I'm not sure why this is since it seems to be universal. NOT that im complaining! i just think its strange. -joe > > Dear Mo, > > > > > > You said: > > > > > > <<Just read your post to Sally and i wonder if I might ask you to > help me to > > clarify my thinking on metabolites.
