I was on Celexa for a while and then switched to Prozac when I

gained 10# w/o change in diet or exercise. I've gained another 10#

and want to go off Prozac to see if that is the reason. Anyone else

gain with Prozac and go off? Results?

I've gained 20 on paxil in less than a year. I desperately want to

know if the weight comes off once you stop taking it. It's been a

month and a half and I havent lost any but I never gained weight

before in my life. I know it is due to the paxil. They say that

ssri's may slow the metabolism as well as cause you to eat more and

be less active.

I also gained weigt on Prozac, and still haven't lost any ( 2 months off),

but I think we need to be patient, because I still feel that my body is

" confused " . I hate to have this extra weight, but obsessing about it makes

it only worse, or so it seems. So I try to do yoga, a bit of cardio and have

invested in a home gym for power work outs. Hope this helps. I know that the

yoga helps mentally , and therefore I try to meditate as well. Although the

day has not enough hours for a working woman with husband, tow children and

six dogs to look after. Try and be a bit patient, because I think it is a

matter of (a lot of) time, before your body will start becoming its own self

again.
