Guest guest
Janet, I am curently on Prednizone also. I see no difference in it at all. If anything I am sicker than before I took it however I figure that is just a fluke and nothing to do with the med. itself. Actually I hate to take any steroids I fussed and fussed at the Dr. but of course he won. Love & God Bless! /Wolf~President I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe. Guest guest
, How long have you been on it? It took be 6 or 7 days the first time I took it to feel any relief. I fussed at my doctor for three months before I took it and finally gave in because I was so miserable...I actually cried and then took my first dose. I was so discouraged at first...but then began feeling like myself again. The only side effect that was tough was the insomnia. It wasn't that I couldn't get to sleep, but I would wake at 4am every day - but during the day I didn't feel groggy...I just would get tired early... Actually > I hate to take any steroids I fussed and fussed at the Dr. but of > course he won. > First, I am not an MD, but I don't think many MDs are using too many brain cells when it comes to treating the symptoms of fibro. What I mean is that there are obviously several forms of fibro, not just one, so this is why different things work for different people. What I have read of using steroids, such as prednisone, for fibro is that it is a bad, bad thing to do and will only worsen the symptoms. However, many of you on this list seems to have been helped by it, so I guess it just depends on the person. But , if you are on it and you feel sicker than before, then perhaps you are one of the people, like myself, for whom steroids are the worst thing I could ever take for it. So, your feeling sicker could have everything to do with the med. You might want to get off of it. I can share some research I have done on steroids for fibro if you'd like. Hope this helps.
