Guest guest
I don't know you - and I am new here - but I would bet a lot that you have a ton of reasons to live for. I am very willing to talk with you and help you if I can. Do you have a pool that you can go to? Exercise is better in a pool because the water takes the stress off of your body . I go to a local hotel and pay $2. a session. I can stay as long as I want. Ask your dr about the pool and what kind of exercises you should do. Otherwise a book on water exercise from the library should help. I got my program from my physical therapist. Start out slow and work your way up. Walking is so good. And it isn't how hard you work out - it is the consistancy. Ten minutes a day. I just read somewhere that to walk 10 minutes a day, you start with 3-5 minutes. Whatever you can handle. When you have that mastered, then increase to 5-8 minutes. Then to 10 minutes. After that goes good, you can try adding another 10 minute walk in the evening following the same method. You can do it if you want to. You need to decide if it is worth the effort for feeling better. I know you can do it - I know you can! I personally would not stay with a doctor that I thought was real bad - no matter who he is or how long I was his patient. It is a waste of time and money. Maybe if you find a different dr, they could make a fresh start and re-evaluate what you are on. Keep what is working and lose what isn't. Maybe this is your first step at feeling better too. I'd like to be your friend - I care about you - you are reminding me of someone close to me that has some mountains too. Write me - HOW DO I LIVE WITH FMS AND STRONJENTS AND A HIATLE HURNIA I am at my witts end! The only reasion to live is for my husband and pets. the dr. says excersize but every time I do a little I hirt alot for a long time. I am on prozac, codine, nexeum, trazadone, I cant eat, sleep, smile, play soccer, and sex isnt fun any more. Guest guest
Hi there. here. I've been diagnosed for over 20 years and struggled with it for a time before that. <><><><><> HOW DO I LIVE WITH FMS AND STRONJENTS AND A HIATLE HURNIA I am at my witts end! The only reasion to live is for my husband and pets. <><><><><> That's as good a reason as any. Especially the pets. I told my husband several years back that the only reason I was still living was to get my daughter grown and on her own, after that I wanted to die. He said if I still felt that way when she left home, he would help me. Well, the years have passed and things are a little better. They go up and down, but they still go. I am one of those people who think that if you are truly that miserable, you have a right to end it all. But, I also live as much as possible by the creed: Do as you will but harm none. And my offing myself would harm others. So I find little reasons to keep at it. <><><><><> the dr. says excersize but every time I do a little I hirt alot for a long time. <><><><><> What kind of exercise are you doing? Have you tried yoga? <><><><><> I am on prozac, codine, nexeum, trazadone, I cant eat, sleep, smile, play soccer, and sex isnt fun any more. <><><><><> Just my opinion, but you couldn't get me to take Prozac on threat of committal. That stuff is dangerous and the side effects are even worse. And Prozac and Trazadone together?? A bit over medicated, it sounds like. The sex thing is very real. My hubby has to do all the work because if I move, I hurt myself. And even when he does all the work, he worries about hurting me. Takes a bit of the spark out. Is your hubby supportive? <><><><><> My dr. is real bad but ive been there so long I couldent change. <><><><><> A "real bad" dr & you wonder why you don't feel good???? Dump him/her before any more damage is done. <><><><><> each proscription is 20$ nexeum is 40$ thats 100$a month for Rx and 60$ month for Dr.appointments, plus I pay hundreds for inc. <><><><><> Not to be snotty, but at least you can afford to. I haven't had medical insurance, therefore no dr or meds for several years. <><><><><> I am never hapy now. I am only 20 will my body look bad in years. Now everyone thinks im faking when I go to class with a cane, I am always down and they always ask wats wrong with you now? HELP ME <><><><><> Are you a student? If so, it's none of their business. As to the faking, I had a cop tear up my handicapped dangler because he didn’t' think I looked disabled. Then wrote me a $250 ticket and told me if I weren't lying, I could go downtown and fix it. For several years I have been of the opinion FEITCTAJ [wrote to me privately for an explanation if you need one). If you can find a doctor that will certify you as handicapped, assuming you are a student, they need to make some accommodations for you. It won't help the idiots who think you're mental, but it will help you cope better. Cheers W
Guest guest
I don't know your name, but I'm so sorry that you are going through so much at such a young age. My heart just goes out to you! I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and chronic tendonitis last April, as a direct result of a very severe adverse reaction to an antibiotic, which damaged a lot of the connective tissues in my body...muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints. It was a nightmare that I thought I'd never wake up from. I never dreamed that something that was supposed to make me well would end up almost destroying my life. I also have bipolar disorder, so I have to take an antidepressant and a mood stabilizer every day for the rest of my life if I want to function as a reasonable human being. My younger daughter was also born with a hiatal hernia. It took them almost 3 months to figure out exactly what was wrong with her, and in the meantime, she was projectile vomiting constantly, not keeping very much of her formula down, not gaining any weight, and we tried her on every formula on the market, including a very expensive hypo-allergenic one, with no success. At one point, we were deathly afraid she was going to die. Fortunately, that healed on it's own as she grew older, but now she has a pyloric spasm, which causes her a lot of stomach pain, and the feeling that she is going to vomit. She has to take a medication called Reglan to push the food through her stomach faster, as well as Prevacid every day. She's almost 11, and it's pretty hard on her to have to deal with at that age. She's also on a somewhat restrictive special diet. I'm with a lot of other members of the forum that you should seek out another doctor. You are paying this doctor, and you deserve to be treated to the best of his or her ability. NO ONE deserves sub- standard care! Please really think about seeking out a different doctor. It could make such a difference in your condition, and your state of mind. There are so many reasons to live sweetie, not just for your husband and pets. A good doctor can help you realize that. You have a whole life waiting for you to live. Also, have you thought of seeking out a good therapist to help you sort out everything you are feeling? Going into therapy was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. It helped me learn how to cope with things that felt overwhelming, it gave me a safe place to vent, and it made me a much stronger person because my therapist taught me ways to fend off " toxic " people. We all know how it is when people think you are faking, or that it's all in your head, or that it's really not " that bad " . Please try not to let those people get to you. I know how hard that can be, but those people truly don't understand what you are going through. I will explain my condition to anyone who asks, but I've come to realize that not everyone is going to understand or accept it, and I can't make them. I don't have the time or energy to try to change their views, so now I don't even try. I would love to talk to you more if you need someone to talk to. Please feel free to write me anytime, to vent, to have a shoulder to cry on, or whatever you need. I can feel how hurt and confused you are, and that you need some support. I would like to help you in any way I can. My e-mail address is nettazig@..., write me any time if you'd like. Take care of yourself. Lots of love and hugs, Jen
