I have never been a big soda fan. I do like a cold Coke once in a while. I think once you get in the swing of drinking water everywhere you go, your body becomes retrained and begins craving water. Ummmm....cool, cool water.... Guest guest
Hi, I was also a huge diet soda fan (still am - diet coke, diet 7up and diet A & W root beer) but have managed to eliminate diet sodas from my diet with the exception of my free days. It sounds dumb, but I drink my water with a straw. I keep a box in my desk at work and a box at home. A box of 100 is like $.99. I don't know why, but it reallys helps me drink water constantly and helps me avoid the soda. So, just an idea for you. p.s. - welcome! Heidi > I am so addicted to diet coke (w/lime is my favorite). The latest research shows that sodas cause deteriation of bones. Their is phosporic acid in most of the soda, and that is bad news for bones. The only two exceptions that I know of is root beer and sprite (or was it 7-up). The fact that you feel addicted to cokes is all the more reason to quit. You aren't helping your insulin levels very much, and that affects food craving. Ken > _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected? Guest guest
I used to drink a lot of diet sodas too. But I have always been a big water-drinker too. I found that cutting out the sodas was really not difficult at all. It was more a habit than a craving. Plus (not to be indelicate here) you'll have less gas and bloating from the carbonation after you stop drinking sodas. And if you say you don't have it now, try going off carbonated bevs for a couple weeks, and then drink one again. Trust me, you will feel a difference. LOL Jen B.
