Guest guest
Dan -- Do you have the Body For Life book? If not, get it and read it. It has the BEST advice I've found anywhere. After reading it, follow the program, by sitting down and making out goals for yourself. Write them down (You can by the BFL Journal if you like). You'll note that many people choose a weight 'goal', but others define their goals with fitness levels, ie. I'll be able to run so far so fast etc. Others seek a lower bodyfat percentage. Sounds like you've learned, to your shock, that your bodyfat isn't so great. Maybe that is where you will focus, but ONLY you can decide what you want to change, and how to measure it. Take some pictures NOW. Start following the eating/exercise guidelines ASAP, and check in here often for support and advice and to keep the rest of us up- to-date on your progress. Great having you aboard this fine group. Bruce
Guest guest
Welcome Dan, I got the best advice by reading the BFL book cover to cover. Then I printed out all the worksheets and made copies to cover the 84 day period and put them in a binder. Then I Xeroxed all the workout pictures and attached them along with a dailey work out sheet to a clip board and took it to the gym with me. Staying connected to this discussion list will provide you with all kinds of support, reminders and great suggestions. So keep coming back. Have you taken your Before pictures yet? I need educating on all of that. Woo hoo! Dan >>>For the purposes of this list, yes. That will be perfect. You will be so glad you took your before picture because in about 6 weeks you are going to take another one, and then in 12 weeks. When you compare them, you will be amazed at the changes only the photo will allow you to see. Here we go....... Guest guest
Dan, That before picture IS essential for the mere fact that you will forget where you came from if you don't have a photo of it. Also, when you get to where you want to be, people won't believe that you used to be a " before " picture. I've told the story on here before about my own sister-in-law who told me that wasn't me in my before picture! It was my before picture, with me in it but she would swear to you that I did not have that back fat or love handles on me! If you stick with BFL, you'll need those before pictures for evidence! :-) Sara I have not taken a before photo.....I guess that is essential
