Guest guest
If you want to get technical, it's mostly about calories. Of course, the foods where you get those calories is very important. The portion method works pretty well for most food. If you want to be a label reader, that's probably a good habit to get into. Looking at grams of protein and carbs will work as well. I'm not quite so good at keeping records of the grams and such, but admire the man who can! You mentioned not cutting back too much and you're right. I dieted for years eating low daily calories, as diet guru's like Simmon's suggested (1600 to 1800 a day). But what happened was I'd get those same binge cravings you speak of and then, come the weekend, I'd binge on high calorie and sugar foods because I was so darned hungry and didn't realize it! All I knew was I had these " cravings " !!! I've noticed with BFL the binging desire seems way reduced for me. Being a binge eater I think it may always be there...but it definitly has been significantly reduced to where I don't think of it as much anymore! I'm simply not as hungry! So I agree with you on being careful not to reduce your calories too much. (Who would have thought! Kinda makes me want to slap Simmon's around a bit! LOL! Just kidding! He was only suggesting the same recommendations as the American Dietetic Society so I don't blame him!) Terry
Guest guest
That's funny you mention slapping him since earlier this year made headlines when he was accused of " slappin' to the oldies " a man that made fun of his videos at the airport. http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,13779,00.html?tnews Andy Kinda makes me want to slap > Simmon's around a bit!
