Didn't you move your washing machine 2 to 3 months ago and mess it up?> It was the dryer. I moved one up the steps from basement and put it in my truck, brought another one from parent's and put it down the steps and back in the place of the other one. Back hurt for a couple days and then I was fine. Thanks for asking. I just do big jobs all by myself like this all the time. Today it was tearing down my old wood shed more. It is wooden pallets, old fence posts (from electric cow fence) pounded into ground, and any scrap of wood I could find to hold it all together. I am tearing the old one down and using parts of it on new one- or burning the nasty parts that are not good enough to try to use on the good one. I managed to finish the sides on the new one- which is mostly a metal car port like they put the shopping carts in at Walmarts. That is where I got it and my larger one I keep my truck under. I built in the lower sides so they are not open except for a door way section closest to the wood burner on the side, and the one drive through end so I can put more fire wood in through that end. It has taken a while to do this because of the weather constantly raining every chance I have time off to do it. Very few sunny days that I was not busy doing something else or out of town. Today, I plastic coated the wood on the outside with very long plastic GATERAIDE banners I got for free at my camp job during the summer. LOL, they left oodles of them behind when they advertise their stuff to 5 Star Basketball players who use our camp before we use the camp. Banners were black with the logo on one side, white on the back. I turned them around for the white side and stapled them up around the outside to keep the damp out. Makes it blend in with the white roof the car port has. I still have a fair amount of the old one to dismantle, cut up and burn. I got some of it cut up and put it in the wood burner for today's batch of wood. Hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow and allow me to do more to the remaining sections. It was raining around 3 pm so I moved my efforts to the inside of the shed- after finishing the plastic coating. A bit after 4 pm I turned off the rope lights I have strung along the inside ceiling area and called it a day and brought my tools back inside. I also added to the gravel walk way. I am getting gravel from a road surface that was ground off and the chopped pieces were dumped at the end of my parent's driveway in a pile for " fill " usage. I used tall cat litter buckets and bring back about 12 bucket loads of it when I travel to my parents to visit. Been doing this for over a year now. Filled in muddy sections under my other car port I park my truck under next to my house. The area around the wood burner and the new shed is so smeary nasty muddy from all this rain one can barely stand up without killing themself in a sliding fall. I have been adding gravel around the shed to correct this problem. Also adding gravel just inside the shed so if it gets really wet this winter there is some traction there to hopefully save my hide. Good Lord, I just need some rich handsome sugar daddy to take me away from all this crap! Guest guest
While a hammer was used in this process... as a crow bar to budge wood from the metal poles that was pinched in order to insert the tarp around the shelter, I generally go with my trusty " ole blue " aka as my cordless Makita drill. Poor thing is rarely ever left to rest in it's case. I had to take out the old screws to tear down the old one... and yes Carol, I recycled those buggers too when putting up the wood on the new one. Except for the busted screws- I threw the broken pieces way down in the woods behind the shed. My soon to be ex sister in law was always freaked out by my gifts I would get from my family. My brother got me a pair of those folding pliers with all the gadgets inside them like a swiss army knife (which I have one of those in my fanny pack too) and I was all excited to get it. I have table saws, table mounted sanders, hand sanders, several portable electric saws, regular hand saws... the list goes on. I can't stand waiting for someone else to fix something for me. That is why I do it myself. I want it done when I want it done. heather o. wrote: > > LOL OH my GOODNESS woman!!!!!! You have been busy!!!!!! I wish i > was that handy!! I'm great at painting.
