Guest guest
Carol: Are there a lot of sporting activities for kids outside of High School? I know that High School sports are sooo competitive and frankly my boys play High School Basketball and Baseball here, but the level I'm sure is much greater there. Just wondered. Thanks again PS: You are such a doll for all the insight and help you give. Thank you. I think my confidence level drops off and on because of my home environment too. You all uplift me so much and make me feel so much better about myself and know I can do anything I put my mind too.

Guest guest
Yes there are loads of activities. Both recreational and club levels, all organized and staffed by the parents. My oldest 2 daughters played recreational soccer and my husband coached 15-16 year old boys. My youngest plays softball, she is a very average player but she has a lot of fun doing it. As I said, the climate makes it so much easier. We have friends whose kids play basketball and baseball. This is all local within 2-3 miles of home and I know it is the same in many cities. I haven't lived anywhere else in the states to compare, but the facilities here are wonderful compared to England. The recreational sports are relatively inexpensive even compared to High School. We and are kids have made some good friends through the sports. BTW where does your Dad live? Guest guest
Yes Camarillo is a very similar type of place to where I live. It's about as far north of LA as we are south of LA. But it's a bit closer to the ocean. I like that area very much, especially as you go further north to Santa Barbara and the central coast - it's very pretty!
