Guest guest
Isn't it amazing how a little TINY dose change can feel so much different? I think this is why it has taken me SO long to adjust all my dosages... Guest guest
Lynda you should not take the pred all at once, that is probably why you feel racey. I suggest you break up the pred in to 2 to 3 doses a day. You'll have to experiament and keep a record, but I suggest trying 5 mg in the morning and 2 1/2 mg 6 hours later to start with. Keep a good record of what you do. So you are taking 4 1/4 grains a day? Another thing to consider for the raceyness is that 2 grains of Armour may be to much to take at one time for you. I take 2 grains at wake and 1 grain at bedtime and have no problem. You should never change two hormones at the same time. If something happens you may not figure out which caused the problem. With 5 mg of pred a day, your body could use 4 1/4 grains well. 7 1/2 mg of pred is going to break down the T3 in the armour faster though, so keep in mind you might need to up the Armour. Any time you change cortisol dose (up or down), you will likely need to adjust the Armour dose. So try the 5 mg pred morning, 2 1/2 mg 6 hours later, but keeping in mind you might need to dose 3 times day later, but lower the morning Armour back to 1 1/4 from 2 grains. Guest guest
That's the exact way I took my armour yesterday and why I changed it today. I've been taking 5mg pred all in the morning for quite awhile now and I had been taking 4 grains of armour split up into 1 grain doses. However when I added 1/4 of a grain to the morning dose I began experiencing severe fatigue. So I tried adding some h/c to the mix but it didn't improve. I'll try taking 5mg pred in the morning and 2.5 at noon but I'm afraid of compromising my sleep which is fragile at the best of times Today, apart from feeling racey for about an hour, I've been good Lynda C Re: New dosing regime Lynda you should not take the pred all at once, that is probably whyyou feel racey.
