Guest guest
I had a flu shot Friday and not only did I not have any side effects, I didnt even feel it! YEA!! I had the flu 2 years ago and let me tell you, it was pure HELL. I could not get out of bed, brush my hair, etc. My dr says sometimes fibro patients get the flu even worse. I missed almost 2 weeks of work. I called my dr and she said definitely get one, so I did. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in! Love, Suzy in MS
Guest guest
Hi, My docs all recommend that I get a flu shot every year, as do the docs of most of the folks I know that suffer from FMS. It is in the same " family " as MS, Lupus, Arthritis, and it also affects our immune systems, so docs highly recommend flu shots for FMS patients in the Washington, DC area, anyway. Best thing is to check with your doc. Caren, wandrin round FL for now
Guest guest
Yeah, I think I'll go ahead and get one this year too. I had a bad case of the flu last year that I thought was going to kill me. Last time I had a flu shot, I had a very mild reaction, almost like a slight cold, and I didn't get the flu all year. I am always sicker than rest of my family gets, and I have it for a lot longer, so I think I'm going to play it safe this year. -- Re: flu shots Hi Suzy--> I had a flu shot Friday and not only did I not have anyside effects, I didnt> even feel it! I decided not to get one this year since Iusually have a mild to moderate reaction (no matter whatthey say) and I'm in a muscle flare these days. It is anindividual decision that depends on a lot of things. I'mglad you sailed through it fine.Caroline
