I'm also planning to go to Virginia Beach in September with a couple of friends with whom I did the marathon. Maybe I'll see you there, among the 15,999 others! :-) Thanks for the compliment. We'll have to create some kind of recognizable sign to be able to see each other at the race. The RNR is the one I am running with Team In Training and I know that have us set up for a victory party afterwards so that might be easy to find. I am giving serious thought to running the Disney Marathon (Orlando) in January. Ever done that one? Kelley

I use Athletix on my Palm, and using that I got the same pace as you on the 3m at 33:03, but got 10:31 for the 3m @ 31:39 and 10:44 for the 6m run. Hmmm, sounds a bit odd to be off on some but not others. I've never tried to double-check the software. Betsy OT ~ Kelley's Training Log ~ 5/3-5/9 Monday - Treadmill Run: 5m @ 57:43 - 11:48 pace (This was my first 5m run so I had to psyche myself up and doing it on the treadmill is always harder for me so I depend on my Walkman to keep me entertained....but it just flat out stopped playing after a half a mile so this was a special challenge) Tuesday - Inactive Rest Day: Work, work, work...missed workout Wednesday - Inactive Rest Day: Repeat of Tuesday Thursday - Treadmill Run: 3m @ 33:03 - 11:01 pace (Enjoyed this run more than any so far!) Friday - Treadmill Run: 3m @ 31:39 - 10:46 pace (Did a pseudo tempo run...made it interesting) & weight Training: incline press, seated Arnold press, wide grip cable pull down, tricep cable pull, bicep curls, leg extensions Saturday - 90 mins. Yoga Sunday - Outdoor run: 6m @1:04:25 - 11:04 pace (Please tell me if I am working the pace out wrong) Total Miles Run: 17 Longest Mile Run so far: 6 miles Kelley
Guest guest
Your pace is actually faster! You ran for 3865 seconds which is 644.16 seconds per mile and 10.74 minutes or 10 minutes and 44 seconds. Make it easier on yourself and use this calculator http://www.marathonguide.com/FitnessCalcs/pacecalc.cfm Andy > Sunday - Outdoor run: 6m @1:04:25 - 11:04 pace
Guest guest
Kelley - I did the Kona (Hawaii) marathon for Train to End Stroke. Awesome program, but the fundraising!! They also do Disney (and the San Diego and Phoenix RNR marathons). Disney sounds like fun, but I'm an accountant, and planning for time off at that time of year isn't a very sensible idea. But I know a couple of people who've done it and loved it - and of course the medal is fun! My dental hygienist (sp?) did the marathon with the Stroke group and now wants to do the half so she'll have both and Mickey.
