Guest guest
So these really annoying frequent hiccups are part of the deal? Would never had made that connection. I have a hard time remembering what day of the week it is and sometimes have moments of panic because I can't remember where I am supposed to go that day. I am on a schedule - college classes and my son's Karate on Mon & Wed, work on Tues, Thurs, Fri. With the holiday this past Monday, we had no college classes, so I had a complete brain fart and had no clue he was supposed to go to Karate. Good thing the lady that does the paperwork at the karate school is used to me, because when I called her and explained, she gave me an extra day to get his paperwork in - otherwise it would have been another 2 months before he could get his red belt. I write BIG notes on loose leaf paper and tape them to the laundry room door (that way we see it when in the kitchen and dining area, and have to walk out that door to go to the car) so I can remember to have my son take the garbage down to the curb on Wednesdays, remember to return videos, or some such thing. My husband is of no help with this stuff, because it has always been my job to take care of stuff like that. Now that I am forgetting so much, I'm afraid he will have to take over and help me remember. I already have my son help remind me of things. Hubby took chalkboard paint and painted the freezer door on our fridge with it so I have a chalkboard, and I have finally gotten him to write things he needs on it instead of telling me and expecting me to remember. -Lori Re: Start a thread of sharing/ "Does anyone else......??" I get the hiccups a LOT, and they annoy me.I also get that "what day is it" all the time, but a lot of that comes from not working. I don't always know what the date is, but I do have a zillion calendars around my house.Melody> I started the 20/20 hindsight, early symptoms or signs of illness,> thread & hope it will lead others to remember and share.> > And today I thought a great thread of thought would be:> "Does anyone else...." where we could share odd symptoms etc. > > DOES ANYONE ELSE........> > Dribble when you drink from a glass??? > I think it's tiny spasms of my moutn muscles. Guest guest
I have all of that. These symptoms are what my neuro told me was the essential tremors. Weird. Fortunately, the neurontin is helping it some and I am not shaking as much and the muscle twitches are lessened. Still have the bad pain (yesterday was really bad) but, I have a call in to the doc to see about upping my dose - he said he could up it quite a ways if this doesn't work. -Lori Re: Start a thread of sharing/ "Does anyone else......??" I have hand tremors. I also have an annoying moving of my head from side to side (which sometimes bothers me when I try to sleep.) Then there are the random muscle jerks, which make me look like some one just startled me. There are small muscle jerks all over which I call 'twinkeling'. It make me feel like a Christmas tree with lights going on and off. It is reassuring to know other people have these spasms. My doctor didn't know that they were associated with fibromyalgia. I went to a neurologist who told me that is what they are from. Just another lovely gift from fibro. Margaret
Guest guest
I am always confused about what time it is.I think I took my meds normally I use my two alarm clock one for the time I took it and the other for the next dose that I turn on.When I'm watching TV or something I look at the clock thinking 30 mins had passed and its only 15 mins or the nap I wake up its dark and I am not sure if its morning or night. Question does anyone find that bright light is painful?I do big time Hugs Slowpoke/Proud to be a TLC angelvisit my family athttp://members.tripod.com/slowpoke-40/ Re: Start a thread of sharing/ "Does anyone else......??" Guest guest
Sounds like your over extending yourself. If possable have the kids do some house chores and dont stress keep a calander in your purse above the the car window and a large one at home.Your son may be able to remind you its time for class that is a good way to teach him to budget time and pay attention to what happens in his day. Guest guest
He is more helpful now that we finally have his ADD under control. This place was a madhouse before the doc put him on Strattera. I just need to get a little more organized. -Lori Re: Start a thread of sharing/ "Does anyone else......??"
