Ok... first.. was he rude and demeaining or just trying to make you think?

If he was rude, by all means, that is not called for. This job is tough

enough to learn without a rude CTO. If he is knew to you, take it to your

chain of command if you feel it is out of hand, but dont let it go. A

training officer needs to be supportive of their trainee, not attacking

them. Got to remember when they were in training and how frustrated it was.

The other dispatchers that sit near us was answering my questions and telling

him not to talk to me like that!

When other people interfere in training it will get more confusing.. I cant

count how many time I have heard people say " everyone tells me something

different " . What a mess !!

On the way home from work I was so upset I had considered quiting...then I

told myself

NO I really like this job!

DONT TO THAT !! In 1984 I started a new job. It was a Thursday, I remember

exactly the events of the day... at the end of the day I went home in tears.

Nobody made me feel welcome, I hated the work they gave me to do. They didnt

have a desk/cubicle for me yet, so stuck me in an aisle at a table ( I am not

twiggy, so I constantly had to move so people could get through). It was

horrible !! I went home and told my mother that since tomorrow was Friday,

i would stick it out, but was going to resign at the end of the day.. I

lasted until 1993 when I moved to GA. DONT GIVE UP. Dont let others

influence your decision to quit or stay. If you LOVE the job then dont let

one person lead you to quit. Stick with it !!
