Guest guest
This is very interesting. Lyme and Bartonella are depicted as being acute in the mainstream literature, but specialistes know they are often chronic. So, this makes me wonder just how many pathogens out there are in us in a chronic manner. Mainstream medical is so behind. This is why I say to treat for all pathogen types long-term because it seems to be what's working, and there is so much we don't know. My mother had polio. Hmmm, I wonder if the germ transfers in a chronic manner to your children. Gee, so much we don't know. I remember one day when my twins were about 17 months old, they got several mosquito bites on them in just a few minutes, and they welted up big for days. Most of the time we get bites, this does not happen. I always wondered if those mosquito bites were different somehow. They stopped developing about that time. They didn't regress, they just didn't keep developing like other children do. I am not saying those bites were the cause, but it surely sounds like something in those mosquito bites could have contributed to the problem. Well, I will put the word out as I meet practitioners and scientists, to also look for chronic viral infections like polio and West Nile. What a germy world we live in. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Dear Listmates: > > I just received my son's test results from CLONGEN LAB in land and my son is POSTIIVE for West Nile Virus. > > He was so glaringly red hot positive that his result was TEN times the control. Guest guest
Yes. I think we must make every effort to refute this annoying and erroneous view held by modern science/medicine that these diseases are self limited. That they cannot be chronic. That it is an impossibility. I just found this link about a girl, , still struggling with West Nile two years after infection. http://blog.hcibooks.com/tag/chronic-illness/ I want to stress also that my son never had an obvious or reported case of Acute West Nile like did. He had four bouts of a 24 hour illness over the course of one year. Each time it was accompanied by severe photophobia, very stiff neck, severe sweats, very high fever. Up until now, I'd assumed, for the past year since my son's cdc positive IgeneX that this was the beginning of Lyme...as one looks back and tries to determine when it all started. But now I wonder if this was West Nile. But each time, it lasted only 24 hours and then he was zinging around the farm again. This was in 2006. He never suffered like in the years since these bizarre meningitis-like episodes. But I believe he was hit with West Nile, Lyme, Co-Infections AND Mold all at the same time after the Hurricanes of 2005 practically washed Florida off the map. It is nothing short of a miracle that even as I write this he is playing on the floor with his creations, role playing and smiling and excited about tonight. How is this even possible? And so even though I am shaken with fear I am grateful for this day that my son is feeling well and happy despite a raging active WNV infection, ET AL! Guest guest
Suzan, that virus CAN DEFINITELY be chronic, there is published data on this. I'll post some studies, if you need to do convincing... btw flaviviridae prenatal infection is also well studied, and a good model for autism Heidi, viruses can be transmitted from parents either through germline insertion (this would mean both parents can pass it on... but only some viruses can do this...) or through placental transmission, from mum. Guest guest
So odd this is mentioned. May be coincidental but my son who is affected with autism as a regression case also swelled terribly when bitten by mosquitoes. At the time we lived in southern FL but the year he became ill he was bitten several times and swelled so much he became black and blue from it, the kind of bruise that lasts over a week and changes colors as it fades. I always have wondered about those bites and how odd they were. He is eight now and they are still in my mind from the time he had just turned two. > > > > Dear Listmates: > > > > I just received my son's test results from CLONGEN LAB in land and my son is POSTIIVE for West Nile Virus. > > > > He was so glaringly red hot positive that his result was TEN times the control. Guest guest
Hi Eva: I do hope you will consider getting your son tested. I believe very strongly that we have made a significant discovery regarding the existence of a CHRONIC form of West Nile disease and it very well may be a CO-INFECTION of lyme disease but NO one is testing for it. I have not been able to find any expert/doctor who understands this disease (west nile) or knows how to treat it either alone or in the presence of Lyme and all the other co-infections. The notion of a CRHONIC form of West Nile is new to science and testing for this virus needs to be right up there in the top five microbes tested for when exploring Lyme and Co-Infections. West Nile can be a very, very dangerous virus/infection. The suppression of the immune system by Lyme and co-infections may be preventing the body from mounting an adequate response to it's presence and thus allowing the WNV to become chronic in an immunosuppressed individual. I urge you to call CLONGEN LABS in land: or www.clongen.com and educate yourself further regarding what you need to do to pursue testing. I merely filled out their requisition which I'd downloaded during the summer but failed to pursue the testing for a variety of reasons until last week when we all got the shock of our lives. Since that time (summer) they've removed West Nile from their current requisition forms and the former requisition form is no longer available on their site. Since my son's smoking hot positive West Nile result via Real Time PCR they are considering putting it back on the requisition. I urge you to pursue this Eva. Take care, Suzan > > > > > > Dear Listmates: > > > > > > I just received my son's test results from CLONGEN LAB in land and my son is POSTIIVE for West Nile Virus. > > > > > > He was so glaringly red hot positive that his result was TEN times the control. Guest guest
How do you treat WNV? I sometimes find trying to treat something as a way to see if it is a possible stressor. BTW, I never knew I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever until I broke out in it after taking LDM100. > > > > > > > > Dear Listmates: > > > > > > > > I just received my son's test results from CLONGEN LAB in land and my son is POSTIIVE for West Nile Virus. > > > > > > > > He was so glaringly red hot positive that his result was TEN times the control. Guest guest
Hi Caryn: That is the question of the millenium isn't it. Now that we've uncovered this.....what do we do about it? Ribavirin is the conventional treatment of choice but is not a drug I could ever give my son. Anemia is one of the severe side effects and my son's Ferritin hit a new low of 12 today. So that's out. And no one knows what the potential interaction of that drug might be when Borrelia and possible bart and babes are part of the picture. It's an antiviral and those are not viruses of course but I am not taking anything for granted anymore. I've now spoken to four doctors (LLMDs) and three infectious disease specialists and no one knows what to do about this. None have heard of CHRONIC WEST NILE. That sure instills confidence doesn't it? I am banking on LDM-100 and Plant Stem Cells to get my son to a better place. Re-test and see where he is after a few months. We are now running quantitative studies as the Real Time PCR is qualitative and not quantitative. Will share those results too. I've been thinking of you non-stop Caryn as we go through this and about your journey with LDM and the viruses you cleared. I am wondering if West Nile was part of your picture and if it might be a part of your son's picture. Something to consider. Every single person with Lyme Disease and/or chronic fatigue syndrome, CFIDS, Fibromyalgia, autism needs to put this virus on their radar. Because it is mosquito borne it is MUCH more easily transmitted than Lyme. And if it is true that lyme disease is now being found in mosquitos, well, I just don't know what to do about it all. It's an overwhelming thought. Hugs. Guest guest
Thanks Suzan. Please let us know what you find to work for WNV. I am sure you will be the one to find a good treatment. Then, we will all let the LLMDs know. ) Caryn > > > > > > > > > > > > Dear Listmates: > > > > > > > > > > > > I just received my son's test results from CLONGEN LAB in land and my son is POSTIIVE for West Nile Virus. > > > > > > > > > > > > He was so glaringly red hot positive that his result was TEN times the control.
