Victor, maybe you just said the reason right there.. Testing.... yes, it is

important for us to be able to type effectively, and testing is a part of it,

but I would imagine that upgrading equipment that is used consistantly in the

performance of emergency services might have to come before a testing

computer/typewriter. As Sara said before, and I can tell you being a former

bookkeeper, the almighty dollar rules all and you cannt give everyone what

they want when they want it no matter how important everyone thinks it is.

So in that case, as in the case of dispatching, you have to prioritize.. and

since everyone always thinks that their division is the most important, it

does make for a tough decision. But it has to be made, and someone has to

make it and believe me you do not become popular when you do make it.

Hi Victor,

what can you do? Do the drill, jump through the hoops -- and the thing with

the typewriter, its a lot harder to correct your mistakes -- they're a lot

more obvious with the selectric -- no spell check. I still like them. They

don't crash on ya!
