Guest guest
I recently purchased from ihealthtree.com: 1 70% DMSO Gel / 30% Aloe Vera, Unfragranced, 4oz....$12.45 5 70% DMSO Gel / 30% Dist. H2O, Unfragranced, 16oz.$99.75 1 Aloe Vera Gel, Lilt of the Desert, 32oz............................$ 6.49 NO Shipping & Handling.......................................Total: $118.69 I received the items, tried the mixed DMSO / Aloe Vera. Over a few hours, 2 applications to my unwashed, un rinsed, knees, wrists and right hip, eliminated most pain. The applications to my quite painful right hip, reduced the pain. A third application reduced the pain further. These, with my pain meds worked well, though, did not give me the full pain relief that I needed. I experienced minimal itch. I recommend the mixed DMSO / Aloe Vera as it saves time to apply. Next time, I will wash, rinse and pat dry, the effected areas, before applying the mixture. Today, my new aide used her iPhone to find the above product sources. The usual ones stated to this group were found, and others. The lowest product prices were found at http://www.imedmart.com. 1 70% DMSO Gel / 30% Aloe Vera, Unfragranced, 4oz....$10.12. 5 70% DMSO Gel / 30% Dist. H2O, Unfragranced, 16oz.$88.80. 1 Aloe Vera Gel, Lilt of the Desert, 32oz............................$ 5.30. NO Shipping & Handling........................................Total: $104.22. A $14.47 savings. I recommend iMedMart. Bruce Chesley Truth is a terrible cross to bear. Guest guest
Bruce.. it is wonderful that you have gotten some pain relief. I am so happy for you. The DMSO will 'build up' and the pain relief is culmulative they say. I like the dmso that I get from https://www.dmsouse.com/Store/index.php?main_page=index & sort=20a & page=1 & zenid=0v\ sleb6snbnsvbacc5a8aup800 two 30/70% 8 oz bottles are $ 27.00 plus shipping. I like the liquid because I can apply it on the body or I can drink it (1 tsp to 1 tbs mixed with 6 ozs distilled water). Hard to do that with a gel..lol. I do trust this supplier. Guest guest
Bruce.. there are many on this forum who have more long-term experience with DMSO than I do who may be better able to answer your question. The good news.. you can mix anything with DMSO.. the bad news .. you can mix anything with DMSO. So you have to be cautious and careful about what you mix with dmso. I would probably trust the commercial aloe/dmso mixture because I have no clue about the availablility of 100% PURE aloe vera. The 30/70 liquid commercial mix can be used straight or mixed with a little distilled water and topically applied as is. The aloe vera, I think, is just to help alleviate any redness or irritation from the dmso. I may be wrong about that?? I keep an aloe vera plant in my kitchen and often use it for burns etc. I am not sure I would mix the fresh pulp with the dmso. But I am a scaredy cat..lol.. The general rule is to always dab or pat on dmso... never, ever rub it on or rub it in or you may have some temporary redness, itchiness etc. I find it only lasts 10 - 15 mins if it happens at all. Always dilute it a little when applying it to thinner or more sensitive skin areas (trunk, neck, face). Above the waist applications are usually more liable to be sensitive than below the waist applications. I have never had a reaction on my ankles, legs, knees or arms but have on my tummy/rib area. Guest guest
My main interest is mixing DMSO with baking soda to CURE cancer. One time, I did apply some extra strength Ben Gay then applied some DMSO. Well, it certainly dealt with the pain and the Ben Gay heat lasted for quite some time. I'm not sure that I'd want to do it again. I'm still waiting for Garnet, or some long time DMSO user, to advise on a mixing DMSO with Aloe Vera method, to reproduce the pre mixed. If I don't hear soon, I'll try using a hand mixer with a whisk attachment, to create a batch in a 16 oz. container. I may include menthol in the mix. Bruce Chesley Truth is a terrible cross to bear. Guest guest
Technically DMSO can *not be mixed with just " anything " and carry it into the body from a topical application. It will only transport molecules under 1,000 Daltons molecular weight, which eliminates MANY concerns such as transporting bacteria, viruses, " dirt " and all large molecules.
