Guest guest
I saw my doctor today and told her I would like to come off the Temazepam. She said I could but I needed to do it slowly. Ok fine. But in the next breath she is telling me that I will have to be on drugs for the rest of my life. As I reminded her that I was already coming off the Prozac - which she had forgotten about. I told her I would like to see who is without being full of drugs. She wasn't really to pleased. She wrote me a perscription for Ativan after I told repeatedly that I want off all drugs. Did I fill it - NOT. Like I said doctors are boneheads.
Guest guest
Hi , Can I please advise on Ativan (Lorazepam). It is a highly addictive, physically and mentaly. I'm struggling to write this due to the fact that I am coming off it just now. I'm tapering off, but not the way it should be done, due to " bonehead Doctors " not helping, and not being aware of how to ease people off slowly. and KEven are trying to help me through this just now. If you can, stay away from Ativan completely. If I had known about the addictiveness, and, the advice to use the drug only very short term I'd have said NO too. Even for the short time usage, it still makes you dependent. As I think I said before, come of the Temazepam really slowly so as to avoid the hellish withdrawal. Guest guest
Thank you Colin for the info. I have absolutely no intentions of taking other drugs. I will come off Temazepam slowly as I have been doing with my Prozac. 2005 here comes the new . From a newbie to the group....Colin I think you are doing a fabulous job of taking care of you. With the wall you've come up against with this GP. Your doing a great job with what you have available. In 5 days you will have seen your GP and things will calm down for you. Just take one hour or even minute if that is what you have to do. You will make it cause we are all on your side routing for you. Remember this will be over. > > I saw my doctor today and told her I would like to come off the > > Temazepam. She said I could but I needed to do it slowly.
