There was a short time when MTX was in short supply of shots,so I had to go on pills!I was so nauseated and just felt awful.Then I actually had a flare, for me I start with the rash, then the horrible sore throat and then the fever etc.I think that was because I couldn't take the shots,so you could very well be having a reaction from coming off the MTX.In my opinion you should call your Rheumy before you get worse.I know none of us wants to flare! As a side note,I am 64 and now have many what I call side diseases.I have Diabetes type 2 for which I take 2000 mg. in pills and one insulin shot a day.I have always said my family doesn't have a gene pool, only a cess pool, because if it's in the medical books, someone in my family has had it!Anyway, I had to renew my license the other day,(even though I haven't actually driven in a few years! I want everyone to know, (especially my perfect sisters!) that I passed the eye test with flying colors!!!!!!!!!!!!
