Guest guest
Ok, yesterday I finally got my paperwork from the NS office, the Cine MRI showed that my herniation is now 11mm where as last year it was 9mm. No blockages of any kind so it said, well I have a question to anyone that can answer it: How do you grow 2mm in a year and still not have any blockages anywhere but have symptoms out of the wazoo? I have C2-3,C3-4,C4-5,C5-6: There is disc osteophyte complex without central spinal canal stenosis or neural forminal narrowing. What does this mean? Thanks in advance, Donna
Guest guest
Donna, It is possible that there is no change in amount of herniation. There are many factors involved, such as quality of MRI, slices of images, and who read the MRI. I believe osteophytes are bone spurs which are not narrowing your spinal canal or the spaces your nerves pass through. You might want to make a list of questions for your nsg and give him a call. Hope this helps! Barbara Sent from my iPhone > Ok, yesterday I finally got my paperwork from the NS office, the Cine MRI showed that my herniation is now 11mm where as last year it was 9mm. Guest guest
Hi Donna, I just found out here in our town that our radiologist meets with patients to go over their MRI and tests after they have met with their doctor. That is something I didn't know. I would do a couple things. Make a list of questions and contact your NS, and it doesn't hurt to get a 2nd opinion. We forget that these are tests and used as tools for diagnosis but the NS should also take into consideration your symptoms and how you feel. Good luck, > > > Ok, yesterday I finally got my paperwork from the NS office, the Cine MRI showed that my herniation is now 11mm where as last year it was 9mm.
