Hi Larry, I wish I could say that. I feel like I'm crawling out of a

deep pit. I didn't take the ldn for two nights now. The rages have

gone but not the depression.

before. I wouldn't say mood swings, but quick blips, and back. I

felt it was SO much better than how things used to be.

Larry,

I am so glad you've had that experience! However, I don't know that

because it seems to have worked that way for you that it would be

the case for everyone. It seems like you're saying she doesn't NEED

the other medication or medications? Perhaps I'm not understanding

your post.

I think we need to be careful, as people who are not medical doctors

or scientists, to say that we've had a particular experience...not

to say that this is the way ldn works.

the only thing is LDN does not stay in the body for more than a few hours so

I don't see how it can cause depression to last for a few days after one

stops. Also, perhaps a common denominator we all share is anxiety or

depression and meds like xanax or an anti-depressant. I have never been on

an anti-depressant but have to take xanax from time to time. Since LDN

tweaks the pituitary gland and these meds are either relaxing the CNS or

changing brain chemical composition, therecould be an adverse reaction that

noone has discovered, not even Dr. Bihari. I am saying this with all due

respect as I know he is a brilliant man but there is much to be discovered

and this is a process for all of us. Noone has all the answers but it still

beats anything the medical community has to offer so I think we should alter

dose, time or do whatever is possible to make this work. If all attempts

fail, then try calcium eap, procarin, the Klenner protocol, anything you

have researched well enough to feel safe trying . It is certainly worth the

effort not be lured into ingesting this venom (CRABS) they try to give

patients so they become victims rather than proactive and vibrant beings in

charge of their lives.

On a final note , I am sorry to hear about your back and unless it is

the neck it is probably unrelated. Try tapping on your forehead and if it is

sorry massage around your eyes and the top of your eyebrows. Squeeze your

eyebrows and stimulate the lymphaticsystem. It may be your sinuses. Best

wishes and don't give up. There are some people here who have pure intent

and also alot of knowledge. Just know in your heart these things will pass

and be in charge. Don't ever give that power to another. It is your God

given right. Sorry if I rambled on but that is what the delete button is for

if anyone is not interested. giggle, giggle. Kathy

Hey again Kathy,

I wish I could understand the mechanism of certain antidepresants. I have been looking at the side effects of naltrexone at a higher dose. The mood swings are there. Could some of us be more sensitive?

I wish my brain worked better. I would understand the role of endorphins better. This is a short blurp and I'm not sure how good the info. is but there seems to be alot that comes into play. <snip

(KEY) , neurotransmitters found in the brain that have pain-relieving properties similar to morphine. There are three major types of endorphins: beta endorpins, found primarily in the pituitary gland; and enkephalins and dynorphin, both distributed throughout the nervous system. Endorphins interact with opiate receptor neurons to reduce the intensity of pain: among individuals afflicted with chronic pain disorders, endorphins are often found in high numbers. Many painkilling drugs, such as morphine and codeine, act like endorphins and actually activate opiate receptors. Besides behaving as a pain regulator, endorphins are also thought to be connected to physiological processes including euphoric feelings, appetite modulation, and the release of sex hormones. Prolonged, continuous exercise contributes to an increased production and release of endorphins, resulting in a sense of euphoria that has been popularly labeled "runner's high."

So if they (endorphins) control our physiological process could the ldn block our depression meds? Supress or change them?

They do with opiate pain meds. Maybe they are blocking our depression meds? I am having a hard time explaining what I mean. Lol! I dunno there something there but this brain is not working very well today.

If it can take awhile to feel the full effect of ldn on say our ms. Would it not take a different amount of time for us to experiance side effects?

Nope its not me neck. Its my lower back. That will teach me to exercise. Lol!

I know people here have pure intent. I've seen and met alot of caring helpful people.

Take Care Kathy,
