Guest guest
Hugs Lyn -- Update Hi people, Hope you all have a happy and safe 2007. Well and I went and sen his Mum on New Years Eve well I don't know what to think any more. She says some nasty things, she has us looking for things and then had me finding this bubble wrap and then I had to find this paper wrap and then wrap the bubble wrap inside the paper wrap and place it back in the cupboard She then had her daughter standing on a chair looking for these things in the bag and they were her winter nighties and she argued with her daughter to leave them down and we just couldn't get through to her. She is starting to touch her self in inappropriate places and she got hold of this pen and was pushing it in the top of her leg really hard we had to take it off of her. The psychiatrist has put her on Epilim now 2.5 mgs once a day. She is not singing out any more, but she is still not moving she just sits in the chair and she doesn't even like she wants to get dressed. She says she doesn't want to be here she wants to be with her husband who died 2and half years ago. Well people I will write again soon Hugs Lyn
Guest guest
Quoting mimiartsy : One thing we found with my Dad - is that anti-biotics - actually kill off the normal (good) flora of bacteria in the colon/intestins - allowing th C.diff to take over a bit. (I think there might always be some low level of c.diff around - that's why we don't catch it as fast). Anyway - things like Yogourt (especially maybe that Activa stuff out now) helop rebuild the natural flora. Or maybe try a different anti-biotic ? Guest guest
Meg, Sorry to read about your roller coaster of diarrhea. Now, he'll probably get Thrush from the antibiotics - which means Swish & Swallow - if he can. Many here seem to be aware of the benefits of yogurt cultures when taking antibiotics. While true,,,,,,, replacing the " good bacteria " in the digestive system would take eating a whole room full of yogurt. You can get the concentrated form in capsules - natural foods stores - refrigerated section about $10/12.00 a bottle. While there, get yourself a treat - I'm thinking homemade soap, exotic wrinkle cream, locally produced honey (keeps regional allergies less severe). You deserve some pampering. Guest guest
Hello group how is everyone doing? As for me I have been doing so-so. I had my surgery about 2 weeks ago and instead of getting rid of all the pain, I still have pain. I sometimes can not walk on my left leg and am having pain when I urinate. I know to much information. I have an appointment on Friday so I hope to get some answers soon. Another thing I have been experiencing is lack of sleep. And it is affecting alot of things especially my concentration level. I don't know if anyone else experiences this and if you do what have you done to sleep better through the night? Well I hope things are ok with everyone. Take care Hugs and blessings, P Corpus Christi, Tx
Guest guest
, The only thing that gets me to sleep at night is a mixture of 3 different kinds of medications. I have to stagger them as my sleeping issues are so severe. I take Seroquel 12hrs b/f I want to wake up I take 1/2 mg of Klonopin about 2 hours later and then 8 hours before I want to go to bed I take AmbienCR ...lol I also have ADD so I take my Adderal in the morning when I want to get up and it is about the only thing that will give me a normal day as far as sleep and concentration. I keep hoping if I can get my Pain in control that I can go off these other meds but so far this is the only thing that works and sadly there are still nights like the night before last where I didn't fall asleep to 6am. Hopefully no one else has issues with this as bad as I do, but Ambien usually works really well.... Also if you talk to your doctor fist but Melatonin an supplement can help people fall asleep there is also chamomille tea....these are some less durastic things you can try. Guest guest
   sorry the surgery's did not help you or may be yet. Now as for sleep best thing I found for me and it works 100% every time is I get the wife really mad at me and then she grabs that number 10 cast iron skillet and blam its good night for a good 8 to 10 hours. no with me its more like sleep whats that as I am up some times for days with out any drives every one here nuts then when I do sleep its only for say 4 to 6 hours at best. now every once in a bit I do crash for 12 hours or more but that like 2 or 3 times a year. I do not worry about it because growing up I also did not need much sleep. so I am still that way but now not working and having no real daily plans its just a do as the body says thing and I just go with it . once I started to do that the sleep I do get is restful sleep even tho it may not be much.  but that cast iron pan idea sounds good some times may still have to try it just scared what happens if I get her a bit to mad . hugs   The  Redneck  Marty G      Excuses are like backsides.
