It is a very scary thing when this happens. did similar episodes for quite some time after birth (in the hospital and at home with monitors-they went off) but with stimulation she always began to breathe again. Then we went through a period of blue spells with them and she was admitted for " oxygen " . Because she had major heart problems they did complete testing, echo's etc. and could find no reason for it. I remember coming into Sick Kids Hospital with her and they grabbed her from my arms and rushed her into OR, (terrifying experience) and after all the tests were done, could find no reason - but the oxygen for a couple of days seemed to work. She did eventually outgrow these episodes. But to completely stop breathing must have been a panic. We send our love.
