Guest guest Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 YEA Jayn, You go girl! You rock. Have a wonderful celebration. Half a Century together is quite an accomplishment. Jan Jim and I have a December Anniversary too on the 29th. We are only celebrating 17 years. But we dated for 4 years before tying the knot and have actually been together for 21 years. Still, we are like babies next to your 50 years! jja52538@... wrote: Just to let all of you know, there 23rd, this Sat. Guest guest Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Congratulations on 50 years. Not many make it anymore, but celebrate that you did. We had our 51st this past June, but he didn't know it. Fortunately, he was aware of the 50th, but it wasn't long after that he didn't remember it .. --- jja52538@... wrote: > Just to let all of you know, there 23rd, this Sat. > Dec 2006, Wayne and I > will celebrate 50 years of wedded bliss, well maybe > not all bliss but wonderful > and rewarding. > Just FYI > > Jayn > in S GA > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > __________________________________________________ Quote
Guest guest Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Wow, June you made it to 51 years! That is really neat. It will be hard for you this year I'm guessing. This is your first Christmas also, how are you doing? Hope you do things with your family to have a Happy Holiday. Guest guest Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks. The day of our anniversary, I mentioned it to him, and he said " Oh? " I don't think he had a clue as to what I was talking about at that time. That was what was hard about it. He was here, but he wasn't here. Yes, Christmas will be hard, but it has kept me busy getting ready this first month after it happened. January will probably be really hard, as the weather is always so blah, I've never liked that month anyway. Not much you can do outside in Kansas, and all the holiday things are over with. --- Donna Mido wrote: > Wow, June you made it to 51 years! That is really > neat. Guest guest Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 But you were here, remembering it for him. And you knew what it meant. I am sure if he could have appreciated you at the moment for that, he would have. And yes, January is depressing for most of us, I think. I always thought it was just me. My birthday is in Feb. and I always thought it was because I was waiting for that. If there a class or something you could get involved with in Jan. and plan to keep yourself busy. Is there a senior center near you. Ours has gentle exercising and movies and lunches! Bet they could even use some help with stuff over there. We even had a grief class I went to for a while. I really got to get back over there. Thanks for reminding me. Hugs, Donna R Caregave for Mom (after I brought her from WI to MI) for 3 years and 4th year in a nh.
