Guest guest
Sharon M, I am so happy to get this good news about Jan and Jim. So glad! Obviously the hospital didn't like the way Jim was cared for either, or they wouldn't have taken a photo of his blistered place. Also, thay don't want the NH coming back on them saying the hospital caused the blister. The hospital wants all basis covered. Thank you Sharon for passing on the great news. I know Jan is worn out, and my heart goes out to her. Guest guest
Sharon: So glad to hear the good news. It sounds just like my husband when he went in with the bad UTI early in October; infection, bedsore, etc. THe only difference, he wasn't able to get up and walk or feed himself, although he ate pretty well when I fed him. The intravenous antibiotic IVs really work pretty fast in getting the infection under control. Was he dehydrated as well? Thanks for keeping us all apprised. --- LadySmilingAtU2@... wrote: > hello all, > i am currently talkin g to jan she is grateful for > all the prayers, they are being answered. jim did > spike a 102 fever at 4am today but is taking cipro > and is improving. he is recieviung oxygen thru the > nose cannula. his color is almost normal, his fever > is back down. the hospital is great per jan. she > said he has a huge room and slept in a 'fairly > comfortable' chair that folded down into a bed. she > said the staff is great and after asking jan what > jim could do, they got him up and walking some > today. jim was abl to pull himself up from teh > wheelchair by holding on to the bars along the wall. > jan is trying to feed him but he wasnt swallowing > so she let him try to feed himself he is eating and > swallowing, slowly, but he is eating. and jan was > so excited that jim yelled a her for trying to get > him to eat. we both said he is getting his spunk > back. > several days ago, jan noticed a small spot on jims > back or backside, sorry i forgot which, and pointed > it out to teh nh, the hosp took a picture of it > yestrerday , it is now blistred. this too upset > jan, she said she will go to the ombudsman when jim > goes back to the nh. > she said thanks for the prayers and please continue > them and hugs and love to all > i will pass on more as i get more, hugs, sharon m > -- > I am daugher of Leonard, diagnosed May 2004, > probably had lbd since 1993,.Dad had a serious fall > in 7/05 causing him to hav hip surgery .After that > he developed aspiration pneumonia 7/05 with > pulmonary embolyis, which he almost died from.
