This will be short, as I am still feeling bad... But I could not make

it. The withdrawal symptoms got to much for me... The shaking,

headache, confusion, logically I knew there were no bugs crawling

under my eyes , that it was just nerve endings.... but all I could

picture were bugs.. Had the worst panic attack I've ever had....

then I would get better then 20 min later I would be right back into

yet. Yeah just stopping 60-mg after a full week was hell.

Thankfully I had called the RD beforehand to get a reduce schedule

and had my pred refilled in case it got bad. So it's 40-mg for 2

days, Then 20-mg , 2 days, then 10 mg 2 days, then stop. I may go

through something similar when I try to stop the 10. Usually anytime

you take it longer than 3 days ... you taper.. It's been drilled in

all our heads to never stop like that. But I read the studies, it's

been done. And I was a good candidate since we new my adrenals worked

fine as I had not had any prednisone in 12 years. So that's how it

went. I'm totally exhausted, still have very little appetite, and

still have a bit of swelling at my ankle... so heck I probably still

even need the prednisone for the flare, it's definitely 95-percent

better than I was a week ago but I thought after that much pred I

would have felt better than I did. I will check in with you guys

tomorrow.. Im not online much. But I want to to thank all of yall

for your advice and kinds words and for thinking of me.

Love

Jen
