Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Welcome to those new to the group. I wanted to send a quick update. After switching a few meds in March/April I am still waiting for them to kick in. Unfortunately that means I have slid backwards with my fevers and joint pain. The last few years I have had a full body rash show up over Memorial day. This year no Rash over Memorial day, but yesterday I had a rash breakout on my arm. Pray It doesn't spread. I am not doing well with the humidity and heat and I know it will only get hotter as summer goes on. I am hoping part of it is the switch in meds. My new puppy(service dog in training) is now 7mo old and as tall as my current service dog (24 inches). Her call name is Alli. We have our first dog show Saturday in Toledo, OH. This weekend is more for fun and to evaluate where I need to focus Alli's training. Late Summer/Fall Alli will start confirmation shows with her breeder that will help evaluate her structure, soundness, temperment. All this helps when Alli is 2 yrs old my vet, Alli's breeder, and I will pour over her results of her various medical, show, temperment evaluations to determine if she can continue to train as my next service dog and start the weight bearing training or if she will become just a family pet and I start the process over with another dog. We finally got reliable internet again, and the hard drive on my computer is giving me weird error messages. Having my computer checked out tomorrow hopefully it won't be anything serious or it will be covered under warrenty. Also I am finally getting the rest of my bottom teeth pulled and will be getting dentures for my bottom teeth. We saved my top teeth, but what bottom teeth haven't been removed are badly broke and need to go. Those wondering the demise of my teeth was a combination of medication and a year long really bad spell where if I was able to brush my teeth once a day that was a major accomplishment. I also went 2yrs without seeing a dentist because the only dentist close to where I live who took my insurance had a non-wheelchair accessible office. Finally after being hospitalized with infection in. My teeth/jaw I found a dental clinic an hour from my house, but it was too late to save my bottom teeth. Now it has been 6 plus months and finally got my insurance to cover the rest of the teeth extraction. Still waiting to hear if they will cover the dentures, if not I will have to pay for them out of pocket. Take care everyone!
