Guest guest Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Yes you should take some iron if your ferritin is low. I got low too with all my bleeding. Doc told me it will take up to 3 months to build iron storage back up. Madeleen wrote: Hey Sam - my iron was low due to all my bleeding. Does this interfere with hormones or thyroid? Guest guest Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 what's unbelievable to me is that my doctor never told me to take iron. He just looked at the hemoglobin count which was normal. In the meantime, I felt like crap. I'm finally starting to feel a little more energetic but guess what. I'm bleeding again. I'm taking these new sublinguals and I'm scared to take the whole 150 mg of P a day, so now I think my bleeding has started again. I am so depressed. > > > > > > > > Absolutely look at the thyroid. Guest guest Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 , I took 2.2 mg sublingual tri-est and 100 mg compounded progesterone. When I kept bleeding/spotting, the pharmacist said to raise that P to 200 mg. I bled even more and sobbed for five months. At the end of five months, my estradiol reading was <15 (zilch) and P was 26 (very high). That's when I went on Estrogel applied to my fat and 10 days of Prometrium. I've since moved to 50 mg of progesterone suppository for 10 days/month. This suits me fine. Have you tried Vivelle or Climara? I think your bleeding is low E. Guest guest Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Hi Val -- I know. It's all a guessing game with me. I'm on Bi-est though (2.5 mg BID). I'm still sweating bullets! And I am not using 150mg of P. I was using crinone gel and I don't TRUST this SL-P!! I have the crinone on stand-by, believe me. E creams don't help and neither did Estrogel. So I'm trying this for now. Thanks for the info. > > , I took 2.2 mg sublingual tri-est and 100 mg compounded progesterone. > When I kept bleeding/spotting, the pharmacist said to raise that P to 200 > mg. Guest guest Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Your flashes should stop within a few days if the bi-est is being absorbed. Have you tried Vivelle? Guest guest Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Well I think I'm finally starting to get used to the bi-est. The flashes are getting better. And last night, I used 75 mg of the P- sublingual and my bleeding is better too. Perhaps I am absorbing. It hasn't been a week yet. Anyway, no I have never used any patches. That was going to be my next thing. > > Your flashes should stop within a few days if the bi-est is being absorbed. > Have you tried Vivelle? > > Val > > -----Original Message----- > From: rhythmicliving > [mailto:rhythmicliving ]On Behalf Of > > > Hi Val -- I know.
