Hi,

I've been more of a spectator on this forum than a contributor due to my

learning about this at the suggestion of Garnet. I've breached on this

subject before and got a little confused with how much DMSO I should use.

I've heard varying reports that the 99% solution is better and others say

they mix it so that 70% is DMSO and 30% is a 'carrier'.

Some background:- I suffer from very bad osteo arthritis and IBD along with

cervical spondylosis, spina bifida occulta and syromyalgia (sp) with feet

deformities. The spasms I'm experiencing is where my whole body goes into a

stiff tightness spasm at the slightest movement which makes it near

impossible to have any degree of mobility. I do need a hip replacement but

with my neurological issues it is debatable whether a hip replacement is the

answer as with my spasms there is a high rate of the hip dislocating which

can be very painful.

I saw my neuro last week and he is astonished how rapidly my mobility has

progressed (I've seen 3 neuro's before, but for one reason or another have

been referred to another neuro mostly because they have moved to another

city).

I have found myself bedridden with it being a struggle to get to the

bathroom shovelling my way on my zimmer frame (walker). The pain I have in

my joints is what needs addressing rather quickly and I am hoping DMSO will

be of some help to me. Can anyone advise what they think is the better

formulation for me ie 99% DMSO or 70% DMSO with gel. I live in the UK and

am looking at this site https://www.phhealth.co.uk/products-page/dmso/

From what I've read on here I would think the 70% DMSO would be more

suitable but would appreciate any advice for someone to start me on the

correct path.

Many thanks in advance,

Jayne Crocker
