HI- I have OCD and although I have just started the workbook, I feel it is helping- the research cited in Chapter 2 (of Get out of your Mind and into your Life)points directly to obsessive thought patterns and where they originate in our relational framing mind- sometimes it helps to understand the reasons we do things in order to stop identifying the thoughts as "us". I hope this makes sense.

Hello all-I just joined this group, so forgive me if this has been discussed before, but does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of treating OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) with ACT? A book on OCD I read recently mentioned the use of ACT in treatment, and I'd love to know if anyone has any firsthand experience. Thanks!Lori

Hi -

I haven't read Get Out of Your Mind yet, but I just ordered it today

and am looking forward to reading it. I recently started The

Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety by Forsyth &

Eifert...is that the workbook you're referring to?
