Guest guest
Jeanie, Who did your mercury testing? Was it a traditional doctor? What is involved in an oral chelation? I can hardly wait to see if this helps you. Nana mercury Hi folks. Got my mercury toxicity report back. Normal is 0-3. I had 25! Yikes! Maybe there is something to this. Gonna do an oral chelation program. Jeanie
Guest guest
Nana - sorry. Didn't really answer you before. They basically prescribe DMSA and I take 3 capsules a week. Also take several other things to facilitate its removal from the body. Haven't started yet. The stuff is ordered. Don;t know what symptoms I may have with the process. Look forward to getting clear of the stuff. Jeanie mercury Hi folks. Got my mercury toxicity report back. Normal is 0-3. I had 25! Yikes! Maybe there is something to this. Guest guest
Hi Tonya, Crystal and all, I was interested to hear that Dr Teitelbaum is doing tests for mercury. I spoke to him about this back in 1999. The big problem with mercury is detecting it. Like pesticides it tends to be lipophilic (fat loving) so unless a blood test is done within hours of exposure it will go undetected and can damage the central nervous system. This is the main reason Thimersol is being phased out as a preservative in vaccines. As a rough guide, any product prefixed by the letters "thi" or "cal" will probably contain mercury The hair test is quite good but the most accurate is known as the Kelmer test where a sample of urine is collected then tablets of DMSA (dimercaptosuccinic acid) taken in relation to your weight and another sample of urine taken three hours later. The difference in mercury levels between the two samples is related to the amount released from your fatty tissue. Before having your fillings removed or embarking on chelation therapy, read as much as possible on the subject. In addition to Dr Mercola's site and Wayne's Talk International site which give excellent information, try the following:- http://www.users.bigpond.com/difarnsworth/mainmenu.htm www.ericdavisdental.com http://www.ariplex.com/ama/amafm001.htm http://www.cfsn.com/melisa.html http://www.altcorp.com/amalgampage.htm Best wishes, . Guest guest
I've been doing a lot of research on the Mercury subject, one of the e-mail list I joined is below. One thing I have learned is that it can be dangerous, when you start messing with Hg in your system if you don't know what your doing. You have to get your Hg fillings out before you start any sort of chelation, at least to be on the safe side. http://www.http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/noamalgam/ Wrote the book on Hg http://www.y2khealthanddetox.com/ Dr. Deb Baker http://www.beatcfsandfms./org Tests for Mercury Toxicity http://www.listserv.gmd.de/archives/amalgam.html E-mail list ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
