This has been happening with my computer as well. It looks as though

something is trying to download and I quickly tell it not to.

Bobbi,

This is the first time I have heard of this. I regularly send emails

from my home computer to my office in NJ and have never had any problems

like that which you have described. All of my emails are scanned both

incoming and outgoing using Norton 2002 Antivirus with the latest

definitions.

Sorry for the off topic post here but since the question was asked in

the group I felt obliged to reply to the group.

Weird Things with 's Posts

When ever a post from to cosmetic info comes to my in box

when I go to read it a window pops up and says something about a

download and I think Japanese.

Being so worried about viruses I quickly cancel the download.

Once I do that the message from appears in the window.

Is this happening to any one else?

is there something you can do on your end?

I promise to take a few more seconds to read what the pop up window says

before I cancel it. Hopefully this will help to unravel the mystery.

Thanks,

Bobbi Guerra

Hi

Yes I get this it has been happening for a couple of weeks now. it says...

To display language characters correctly you need to install the following

language pack.

Japanese.

I have had this before when I receive emails from abroad but usually the

language corresponds with the country I get the email from.

If you pess cancel you just see the email

Hi

Don't know if this makes a difference but with this email I received the request

but with your email on Vodka and everclear I did not. Don't know if that helps.

Bobbi I'm glad you asked that.

, the last three posts I've read from you had that down load for

characters. I just clicked " no " and got the message. This one today didn't

give me that box. It is weird.

I think the problem was specific to and the way he had his mail set

up. It looks like he has it cleared now as his last two emails went through

without this problem.

this is probably due to yahoogroups screwing up the text ads at the bottom of

our posts...we know doesn't post in japanese! ;)

Hi ,

I get them too. Usually I get these from a customer in Taiwan. It's the

language pack window that pops up. Are your emails set to a different

language by chance? It's not a virus but maybe just a setting. I noticed

this a few days ago too. It's asking if you want to download the Japanese

pack meaning that there are letters written in Japanese.

Hi ,

Off Topic ~ Not IMO

Since your messages that come to me are from the group I wanted to know if

others are having the same experience.

The same thing happened when I opened your message this morning.

A gray box appeared ---

The box said I would need to download a converter that would take 28

minutes.

Under that it had Japanese Text

When I cancelled the box your message then appeared in an other wise blank

message block.

Since this is not going to cause my computer to fry it's not a problem.

I'll do to the box what I do to the porn messages everyday - hit cancel or

delete.

I am sure you are not sending viruses - this is not a virus just something

very unusual.

Thanks,.
