Sherry,

One can use sodium stearate and glycerin to make a clear stick. As for

the paraben issue you can use phenoxyethanol as an oil soluble

preservative. Two trade names for this are Phenoxetol and Emeressence

1160.

Re: hardener for deodorant

In the last edition of Happi magazine, the company " Herbal Clear " has

produced an All natural clear gel Stick Deodorant, using vegetable

glycerin

rather than the synthetic " polylene glycol " .

My question is, what ingredient could they have used to make the stick

" Hard " ? Is there a clear hardener that is natural? Most waxes that

I

know of are opaque! So Inquiring minds need to know!

Also, can someone answer my last question which was IS there an oil

preservative that does not contain parabens?

thanks

Sherry
