Guest guest
I subscribe to " Alternatives " health newsletter and sometimes learn something I can use. In the issue that come today there was an article about aluminum in deodorants and what to substitute that is a safe alternative. The author of the magazine says that you can make a dust of equal parts of cornstarch and baking soda and it works great. I haven't tried it yet, but thought I would pass it on. In the same issue, there is an article about a doctor who is doing research to help altzheimers disease. He claims to stop the progression of the disease by administering 600 mg. of Alpha Lipoic Acid per day for a year. Another alternative health newsletter that came today says that the Number One Worst Prescription Drug is Statin, followed by arthritus drugs, HRT, aspirin, antacids and hypertension drugs. The worst procedures are Bypass Surgery and Laser Eye Surgery. Bypasses clog up quickly and 1 in 10 Laser Eye procedures fail, and are not reversible. Guest guest
Hi Duncan! -----Original Message----- From: Duncan Another alternative health newsletter that came today says that the Number One Worst Prescription Drug is Statin, followed by arthritis drugs, HRT, aspirin, antacids and hypertension drugs. The worst procedures are Bypass Surgery and Laser Eye Surgery. Bypasses clog up quickly and 1 in 10 Laser Eye procedures fail, and are not reversible. I would disagree with the last statistic. The key is to go to a Dr which does many hundreds of surgeries a year. Their success rate is much higher (99% or more). Obviously surgery of any kind is not to be done lightly but this kind of laser surgery is not invasive and the recovery time is quite rapid (under 24 hours). In my opinion there are many more procedures that are much worse than Laser Eye Surgery. Tom Nesler
