Hi June--sorry youre still not going too well--keep up the drainage--i

looked into the buteko thing earlier this year when i realised how my lungs

were going downhill --they wanted $590 to teach me to breathe thru my

nose--i went to an info night--sounds ok --esp if youre asthamatic--i'm

not --but i still think its a bit of a rip off---i know anything that helps

is sort of worth it but not sure how much it helps--not me anyway---i have a

book on it--hard to do by yourself tho--thats why they can prob charge what

they like to teach you--another book i came across and purchased is called

SCIENCE OF BREATH written by yogiramacharaka actually printed in essex is

interesting and has some useful info and exercises that may help--i dont

think i have enough self discipline or something to persevere with some of

these breathing techniques---intersting tho the author states all lung

problems stem from mouth breathing --i have always been a mouth breather but

try to make a conscious effort to nose breathe--hope to hear youre doing

better soon--cheers Del

Hi June

Sorry to hear you are having a bad patch, hope things look up for you

soon. It sounds like you are doing everything possible to keep well. I

know what you mean about the Chinese herbs. I went down that path once,

and couldn't handle the taste of the brew!! I don't know what's in

those dried twigs that taste so bad (lol)! I get an herbal medicine

made up by a naturopath that has expectorant and anti-inflammatory

herbs.

I read on another forum that Becky is home from hospital. She came home

after 9 days, so that was quite amazing. She is doing well, but she is

dealing with a few hiccups. She is busy with follow up appointments at

the hospital most days. I'm sure she will write when things settle

down.

As for me, I am due to go back into hospital for IV's. My doctor has

filled out my admission form, so I'm just waiting to hear from the

hospital. It's fairly routine for me now, as I know I need to have a

tune up every 6 months, otherwise the infection gets out of control. Oh

the joys of bronch!!

Take care and get well.

Love Bunny

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, has anyone news of Becky, haven't

heard

for ages how she is? Also a big hello to young , hope he is

doing

better this week. Had a change of tactics this weekend instead of

fighting my

illness I gave into it and spent a lot of the weekend in bed under my

electric

blanket sleeping or in the pool doing gentle swimming. Felt a bit better

yesterday but today back to being really bad, coughing up and asthma

attacks. Went to a Chinese doctor who gave me these weird herbs to brew

up,

never tasted anything so awful in my life. Going to persevere for a week

as

they cost £25!!! Also doing liquorice root and ginger root tea which is

helping.

Have enquired about Buteyko breathing and ordered a new bed in case it's

dust mites (our bed is 20 years old!!) This illness is going to bankrupt

me at

this rate. Still frustrated at how one moment I'm not too bad and the

next I feel

like I'm literally dying, thought I was going to pass out today after

coughing.Just feel so out of control, I'm doing everything I can think

of but

nothing works. My infection is clearing but the Tetracycline is giving

me

heartburn, nausea etc. oh the joys of Bronch and asthma, out of the

those I'd

rather have asthma, at least that passes after an attack but the Bronch

is like a

little gremlin in your lungs constantly having a go. Hubbie nagged me

today

for cutting down on my steroids but they are such dangerous things and

my

lungs are becoming too dependant on them again. Going to kick them

somehow. Looking forward to hearing how you all are in my post

tomorrow. Love June
