Guest guest
Hi June, Glad that you are breathing better so perhaps the drug is helping. In regard to osteoporosis and exercise. I have always been very physically active. I have a treadmill here at home as well as a Total Gym. I have hand weights to lift for my spine. I only have one prescription of the new drug, Forteo, and am waiting to hear from the pharmaceutical company to see if I can get patient assistance with it before I start it as I will need to stay on it continuously for 24 months. My doctor said last Friday, "My, you are sure taking a lot of drugs." You are fortunate that you do not have to pay the high prices that we do in the U.S. I get some prescription drugs from Canada, including the Fosamax, but Forteo is not available there since it is a new drug. My husband should arrive from London tonight (Sunday) around 7:00 p.m. at the airport. He took his camcorder so I suppose tomorrow I will see more of London and Paris than I have seen before. Our air conditioning is not working today. The repairman was here this morning and it still is not fixed. He is coming back again. I took all of my expensive prescription medications to my neighbor's house. Love, Norma
Guest guest
Norma, What is the temperature there in Austin today? The only time I get that tired worn out feeling is when the outdoor temp. is above 75 and rising. When the cooler weather returns at the end of summer I am quite energetic and stay busy all day long. I love the winter months here in southern Ca. for that reason. I seldom run the airconditioner if I can do without. How do you cope? in Ca. Guest guest
, According to the computer, the temperature is 86 degrees with a relative humidity of 66 today. This is cool for August in Texas. Our air conditioner stopped working Saturday, and I had to call a repairman out since the humidity was so high that day. Normally in August we can expect 100 degree temperatures. A few years ago we had 100 to 112 degree temperatures the whole month of August. What makes me so miserable is the heat combined with the high humidity. I feel like I cannot breathe. I moved all of my medications to my neighbor's house since I was not sure when the repairmen would arrive. The winters are not bad here but the summers are miserable. We have had quite a lot more rain this year summer so the humidity is worse this year too. Norma in TX
