Hello to you all, I truly

hope all you sickies are feeling better, you make me feel so lucky that I still

remain stable even though I have a persistant cough and bring up loads first

thing in the mornings, (the acapella is helping me bring up more). I often

cough in the night and have to get up and clear myself, sometimes I cough in my

sleep and my hubby gives me a gentle shake and wakes me to tell me to get up

and have a decent cough. He amazes me, we have been married 11 years, it is my

second marraige, before we got engaged I told him about my illness and gave him

all the literature on it so he would know what to expect, he loved me dispite

of it. I said I cough alot at night, he said well I have alot of wind so were

even. Has anyone heard of Reiki?. I became a Reiki practioner 10 years ago and

can give myself Reiki which helps my breathing and relieves pain. its a hands

on healing technique and is brilliant. cheers to you all. Doreen M

Hi Doreen, I have

a friend who does Reiki. She gives me a treatment from time to time; it’s

absolutely amazing how it works. I was unaware, however, that

practitioners could treat themselves.

Like just about

everyone else, I’m still unwell. Been fighting my doctors lately as they’ve

done two sputum tests and nothing is showing up despite the fact I’m

coughing up nasty coloured gunk all the time. I’m also getting hot and

cold flushes, and have now lost four and a half kilos in about six weeks

because I’m not eating well – because of the infection.

My specialist

has been away on holidays for some weeks (good for him, but not for me) and I’m

hoping he’s back this week. I’m going to ring him to sort something

out. I would rather go on (decent) antibiotics now, than end up in hospital

down the track. My GP gave me two courses of Rulide, which are like lollies to

my system; they don’t do a damned thing.

Still having

the transfusions (for the immune system) but on reduced doses because of the

shortage here in Melbourne. When I had the last one, the doctor

tried to give me some extra, but there was none to be found in the entire

hospital. <<groan>>

This has been

an ongoing infection for around five months now, and it’s starting to

really drag me down. Something will have to give soon. Very soon.

Cheryl
