Big hugs, it is horrible when oyu end up feeling worse than when you first went to th edoctors.

has only been of his meds since Sunday morning and is already not as well as he was at the weekend.

I really don't want to go in for IV's with him it is just all too traumatic for all of us right now.

I am hoping he will be able to fihgt it off a bit loner. It just scares me to death knowing how ill he was the last time!

Sending huge get well vibes.

and loads of love

Lynne,

It is O.K. to complain. We would not need this group if we did not have a place to vent our feelings. It is therapeutic for you and for all of us when we need to do this. Last spring when I had staph. pneumonia, the PICC line nurse came to my room the first day and said that the pulmonary doctor ordered a PICC line for me. I asked her what it was and after hearing about the procedure declined. However, I can understand why they want to do it and I may have to have it in the future.

Please feel free to vent to me anytime.

Love and Prayers, Norma

Hiya Lynne

My hubby had a PICC line in with his endocarditis, infact he found it once they managed to get it in as he had strange veins, better than the normal canula types, because the strong anti biotics stang something chronic, but via the PICC line they didn't. but some of the newer nurses didnt use the right wash, to clean them out and also they draw blood fomr it, which the PICC line lady said was the reason why it blocked up several times. He is not happy with needles and nearly passed out first time they tried, but he didn't the next time, so maybe for him it was the problem with small veins, most people they don't have problems with.

I would have to be out if they tried to put anything like that in me, unless I was that gone with an illness not to know whats going on. but other arm out, line in and they have missed it.
