Guest guest
Hi June, Sorry to hear that you have had a bad day. We also have a report with our weather report showing the levels of pollution. Some days it says that it is bad for people who have respiratory problems so I try to stay indoors. Yes, those adjustable beds are very expensive but would be nice as one can sleep better with the upper body elevated. I try to enter every contest where they are given as prizes. My pulmonary doctor said again today, "I can't give you new lungs." That is his standard answer every time I complain how this disease has affected my life. It would seem that stem cell research might be promising in the future. It is an issue in our upcoming election. Fortunately, it rained here today so my lawn looks better but I am not going to worry about my lawn looking great. I am going to make my health a priority. Take care and I hope that you are able to see your specialist soon. It seems that many of my doctors have been on vacation (or holiday) here too. Take care and I hope you have better days ahead. Guest guest
Hi everyone, bad day today. Saw my GP and she said my lungs were not expanding properly and that I had another massive chest infection. No wonder I feel so rough. Back on 6 Prednisolone a day and 3 antibiotics a da= y. Tried phoning the Brompton hospital but the specialist is away on holiday s= o no wonder my appointment is not through. I just want to see a specialist to= find out what is going on. Norma I've not heard about Ozone aware days, we have a pollution index which is 6 today out of 10 which means a bad asthma day. Been looking at these adjustable beds to prop me up at night but they are $3000 or £1650 to buy, that is a heck of a lot of money to spend. It would = mean getting a bank loan to buy one. Has anyone else tried one with any success? I'm going to bed now as I feel so exhausted, hopefully I'll have a few hour= s sleep before needing another neb, hope everyone else is doing better than I= am. Oh yes read a thought provoking article in my daily paper today about lung transplants, they make it sound so easy, I also saw that British scien= tists have been given the go ahead to clone embrotic material to grow new heart, = lung etc tissue. Unfortunately it will be some years before it will be used= to help people such as us but it sounds better than a transplant even though t= he ethics of this sound very dodgy. I live hope that there will be a cure for = us one day? At least I'm not so depressed about it as I used to be, just take all = this in my stride now and try to get on the best I can, Norma you are rtight you ha= ve to pace yourself according to how you are! All my love to all June

I keep telling hubby that, when that day comes, I am totally signing up for it. I don't care if I am laid up for a year afterwards, it would be so worth it.
