Guest guest Posted June 1, 2004 Report Share Posted June 1, 2004 June, I’m very surprised that the hotel electrical service doesn’t have three-pronged electrical outlets—it’s code and has something to do with grounding the electrical current. My nebulizer has three prongs (two flat and one round) and I’ve never had a problem at a hotel. However, if their outlets are really two-pronged, you can pick up an adapter at any hardware store. They are very inexpensive. Let the hotel know that you need one—maybe they’ll be able to help. Barb Coming to the USA! Aghhhh!!! Need to know how do I put a new style US plug in the old style socket, is there a special adaptor or should we cut off the new plug and put an old one on. We are stasying in Las Vegas and any advice would be very welcome. I'm trying not to get too anxious about it but I NEED that neb. I used to be such a confident person but since getting this I get panicky about having the right inhalers and medicines and access to a nebuliser and I'm worrying aboput flying, travelling everything! Click on world electric guide. Type B is the kind that most places in the U.S. use. Adapters to change two-prongs to three-prongs and readily available. Hope this helps. Barb Coming to the USA! Guest guest Posted June 1, 2004 Report Share Posted June 1, 2004 Hi June, I wish I could meet you in Las Vegas, and I wish I could send you my travel Comp-Aire Elite nebulizer that can be charged and you can get 45 minutes of use before recharging. Have you contacted the airlines about your breathing treatments during travel? When I called the airline here in the U.S. before I flew to Chicago last August, they were very helpful.
