Tony,

I read your post to Cheryl and was interested how Air Waves chewing gum helps bronchiectasis. Is it only available in the U.K.? I live in the U.S. (state of Texas). Is Adrufyt a supplement? I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis and cannot take any

anti-inflammatory drugs due to stomach problems. I thought that my new primary care doctor, who is American-Chinese, might approve some of my new supplements. He said that the pharmacist at the compounding pharmacy where I purchase my inhaled Tobramycin just wants to sell drugs. My daughter thinks that zinc, when taken at early onset of a cold, shortens the length of the cold.

Tony,

Thank you for the information regarding the gum and Adrufyt for the arthritis. I will ask my compounding pharmacist about it. I will also try the zinc as well and see if my stomach will tolerate it.

Surely the UK must bow to the US with regard to chewing gum!? Seriously, I don't know if it is available elsewhere than the UK - perhaps the Internet might help? I can only say that my wife, Phyl, will not leave the house without it! She also has stomach problems and the Adrufyt does not exacerbate any symptoms. She has found it most beneficial. Our son, Simon found out about it from one of his patients - an old lady who claims that it has transformed her life. It can be got over the Internet but like most natural remedies and supplements it needs to be given time. I am glad your daughter has benefited from zinc!
